Overall Good Experience, Absolutely Satisfied.
Placements: Talking about Placement of our college, it do not provide placements for B.A. Students. Students doing Masters over here got placed with 100 percent placements. Last year, the highest package was around 15 Lacs per year for three students. Various Internships and fieldworks are assigned to students of both Bachelors and Masters.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good. Condition of Hostel is very good. Whole campus has active Wi-Fi, classrooms are equipped with projectors and Wi-Fi. We also have library and Cyber library in our campus. Hostel life is very good, there is nothing to complain about the hostel. Quality of food provided by DH is okay but not good.
Faculty: The relationship between faculty and students at TISS is excellent. We can approach our respective faculty members whenever we need assistance during academic hours. All faculty members are highly qualified and display a positive attitude towards students. There is not a single faculty member I dislike in terms of teaching and student interaction. TISS G excel in fostering a positive environment. The course curriculum is well-designed and highly practical, encouraging us to develop critical thinking skills. The assignments given by the faculty are also very engaging and thought-provoking, making the learning process even more enjoyable.
Other: I chose this course because of its comprehensive and multidisciplinary approach. After every lecture, I feel a sense of accomplishment, as I gain insights and perspectives I never had before, encouraging us to connect different ideas and explore diverse viewpoints. Our college hosts two major events annually: VAOMALAN and the TISS Sports Fest. However, when it comes to sports, the condition is disappointing. While we have grounds, the long grass makes them unfit for playing. As there is not a lot of crowd in campus, it makes campus life isolated and less interesting.

Satisfied with the placements and career ahead.
Placements: Great internship opportunities, with around 80–90% of the students getting it in reputed organizations like PATH, NIMHANS UNICEF, etc. The placement rate is decent, with around 75% of the students getting offers from top agencies like Oxfam, WHO, UNDP, etc.
Infrastructure: Very well constructed, where it has been taken care to create a place to make research quite convenient. The hostel has comfortable rooms with shared options. The food quality is appreciated by students when options for different dietary needs are given.

Absolutely dissatisfied with the administration but we have good classmates.
Placements: We do not have placement cell for BA programs. Only Masters students are eligible. There are better placement opportunities in TISS Mumbai. I have heard this from my seniors. Although, in Guwahati campus the placement opportunities are not bad at all.
Infrastructure: The Wi-Fi is not that strong. It stops half of the time. The classroom and library is fine. The quality of hostel food is a little below average. The hostel rooms are fine, but the water quality is not good. There is no 24*7 water service. At least for some time the water stops, everyday. They say they have medical staff, but I have never seen them in the campus. The sports and games facilities are slowly improving.
Faculty: We mostly have guest faculty members and they are not really that good. They just come and teach for the sake of teaching. The teachers who had knowledge and were good, and they recently left TISS. We are in a position where we learn mostly from youtube. We have exams coming from the 4th of December (according to our academic calendar), but we haven't received our date sheet yet.

Review of Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Guwahati (TISS, Guwahati).
Placements: Placements for our batch, i.e., 2014-16, were good. Almost 70% of students were placed. The highest salary offered was Rs. 60,000 per month. The lowest salary offered was Rs. 15,000 per month. Companies like HCL Foundation, Tata Trusts, etc., visited the campus for placements. Roles of project coordinator, programme manager, etc., were offered.
Infrastructure: Facilities like Wi-Fi, labs, library, classrooms and medical, etc., were available on the campus at free of cost. The quality of labs and classrooms was really good. The food served in the canteen was good and they provided better facilities. Hostel rooms were good and Wi-Fi enabled. Since the hostel was in a rented house, the infrastructure was good but not up to expectations.
Faculty: The teachers of TISS Guwahati Campus was really helpful, very well qualified and knowledgeable. The teaching quality was fantastic and it was a holistic approach. The ratio of faculty and student was 30%1. The course curriculum was useful which led to the exposure of the students.
Other: Extracurricular activities conducted on the campus were good and exciting.
