The National Testing Agency releases the CUET Physical Education Syllabus. Candidates preparing for CUET UG exam can soon download the CUET 2026 syllabus PDF for all subjects, including 13 languages, 23 CUET domain subjects, and general test, from the official website. Students planning to appear for CUET UG 2026 and take physical education as one of their five CUET subjects can check out this article to know about the important topics to cover for CUET 2026 physical education exam. Also, find out the chapter-wise weightage and last year's exam analysis on this page.

The CUET UG 2026 application window will close on January 30, 2026 at cuet.nta.nic.in. The Common University Entrance Test for 2026-2027 admission cycle will begin on May 11 in CBT mode. The CUET 2026 exam schedule for each UG subject will be released soon.

Q:   is it enough to learn from NCERT textbooks to clear CUET?
A: 

Since the CUET UG 2026 syllabus is in line with the Class 12 Board exam syllabus, it can be safely assumed that the NCERT books are enough to clear CUET UG 2025 exam. Candidates must note that, CUET exam tests students' understanding of the concepts and ability to apply them in various situations. Therefore, to prepare well and get a good score, it is advised that students refer to other study materials and books designed for national level competitive entrance exams. The CUET UG syllabus is in tune with the Class 12 Board exam syllabus. The chapters and topics are similar to Class 12 syllabus. Unlike other UG entrance exams, CUET UG syllabus does not include Class 11 syllabus.

Q:   How do I prepare for CUET UG and Board examinations?
A: 

To prepare well for the CUET UG and board examinations, candidates must:

  • Start their preparations for CUET UG along with class 12th board examination. This will help students to cover the maximum syllabus for CUET.
  • Candidates must make sure to be familiar with the CUET exam pattern and syllabus for the subjects they are planning to opt for.
  • Candidates must know weak and strong topics by solving CUET mock tests or previous year question papers.
  • Students must make sure to download the CUET question papers and analyse difficulty level of the exam
  • Aspirants must select the best books for CUET UG preparation.
Q:   How many questions are asked in the CUET Physical Education exam?
A: 

The exam consists of 50 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and candidates must attempt all questions within 60 minutes. Each correct answer carries +5 marks, while 1 mark is deducted for incorrect responses. This makes it crucial for candidates to be accurate and selective while answering.

NTA has made some changes to syllabus of physical education for 2026 admissions. Few topics have been added to the syllabus. Students can check the CUET Physical Education Syllabus in the table below to prepare for the exam.

CUET Physical Education Chapter Wise Weightage

The CUET Physical Education 2025 exam was held between May 13 and June 03, 2025, in Computer Based Test Mode. The exam duration was 60 minutes and was conducted in multiple shifts on more than one day. There were 50 questions in the CUET Physical Education Question Paper and candidates had to attempt every question while keeping negative marking in mind. The difficulty level of CUET physical education exam 2025 was moderate. Most of the questions were from NCERT textbooks. 

So, students preparing for CUET 2026 physical education exam are advised to thoroughly go through the CUET Physical Education Syllabus and study material and practice CUET Physical Education Question Paper for the CUET exams conducted till now to get good CUET scores.
