Commercial Pilot's Licence (Ground Training) - Batch of 2025
4.4

The start of my career from a perfect institute.
Placements: Bombay Flying Club provides a number of aviation courses. I'll talk about the CPL course as I've enrolled in it. There are about 40-45 students in any batch, and there are classes operating in two batches. As in aviation, there are no placements as such, but the instructors do instruct you in the best possible manner so you land in a good airline and unleash your further potential by earning a good job. From what I've heard from my instructors, a number of students from my institute have landed jobs in companies like Air India, Indigo, and other major airlines doing what they chose.
Infrastructure: For CPL ground classes, it doesn't have any big, fancy campus like the other colleges you see in movies, but it provides a dedicated environment for the student pilots. The classrooms are well equipped with smart boards, a whiteboard, a projector, and a brilliant view of Juhu Airport at the back of the classroom, where you get to enjoy the landings and takeoffs of several small aircraft. It doesn't provide any hostel facilities for the ground classes, but they do have their hostel, I suppose, in Dhule, where they train you for flying.
Faculty: For all the four DGCA subjects, they have well-experienced instructors who not only focus on the class as a whole but are also ready to help you out with your doubts personally without judging or blaming you. I personally admire the instructors here and feel blessed to be under their guidance, who, apart from the subjects, guide us through the pathway of this glamorous industry. If dedicated, you'll surely be able to clear all your DGCA exams under their guidance.
Other: To anyone who dreams to fly and is dedicated to landing with flying colors, my institute will surely be a boon, as it is to me. Since it is a six-month dedicated CPL ground class course, there aren't any events or fests, as it is more dedicated towards building you for what you have chosen. As for the fact, there are no public holidays for pilots, unlike for others. You can either do your flying from here itself or opt for another flying school after completing your ground classes here.

B.Sc. in Aviation - Batch of 2021
3.4
3Placements3Infrastructure3Faculty4Crowd & Campus Life4Value for Money
It is the best college for the B.Sc. in Aviation course in Mumbai.
Placements: About 60% of students from our batch got placed. Many airport companies visit our college to recruit students. About 50% of students got an internship from our college, and students are satisfied with the internship. The highest salary package offered is 5 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 2 LPA.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure and facilities in the college are good. Classrooms are spacious in our college. There is also a projector facility to see the videos. It provides a high-speed Wi-Fi facility. The food served in the canteen is above average, but it is hygienic. The college also has a medical kit and first aid box.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are the best. They are highly qualified. Retired Captains and retired officers from IAF are available to teach students. The course curriculum is very relevant. The difficulty level of semester exams is average. Their teaching quality is very good.

Aircraft Maintenance Engineering in B2 (Avionics) - Batch of 2017
2.4
1Placements3Infrastructure3Faculty2Crowd & Campus Life3Value for Money
It has no college life as there are no fests, freshers parties and nothing.
Placements: About 20 students out of 30 students got placed in our batch. We had a section for aircraft maintenance engineering named Avionics and two for aircraft maintenance engineering in the mechanical course. It is a certification course of 3 years with 5 semesters and 6 months of OJT, i.e., On Job Training. After completing this course, you can get a job as a trainee technician in airlines. The starting salary offered can be as low as Rs. 8,000 per month, depending on the airline.
Infrastructure: When I was studying, this college was situated in the Juhu Aerodrome. Now it has shifted to the Avionne building near Nanavati Hospital. Wi-Fi isn't available for students. There are very good labs, but they are called shops in aviation for learning about radio systems, aircraft parts, electrical systems in the aircraft, etc. There is a library with an ample number of books for student's reference and learning. Classrooms are clean and fitted with air-conditioners, whites boards and projectors. There is no hostel service. The canteen food is average with options like samosa pav, Vada pav, missal, fried rice, noodles, etc. The canteen is clean too. There are the first aids in every shop.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is average because some teachers are not well-experienced. This course should only be done by pupils interested in becoming aircraft maintenance engineers. Otherwise, it is of no use because it is a certification course only. You can simultaneously pursue B.Sc in aeronautics, which is advisable. In 3 years, you can have a degree as well as an aircraft maintenance engineering certification. After completion of the certification course, you can do your OJT either from the college or from any other airline. Air India offers OJT to freshers. Semester exams are pretty difficult, with a pass percentage of 75%. You must clear semesters and 17 DGCA license papers. The fee charged is Rs. 1,500.
Other: I suggest trying to get full information about the AME course. I recommend doing it only if you want to do it. Otherwise, do B.Sc in aeronautics. I decided to do it because I was interested in aviation. There are no events, fests and scholarships. There is only an annual function and sports day. Best buses are available or local trains from Vile Parle Station.

Aircraft Maintenance Engineering in B1.2 (Light Airplane and Piston Engine) - Batch of 2021
1.6

I suggest you not to join this college.
Placements: There will be no placements after we complete our course, which is very bad. You have to research on your own to know whether the openings are available or not. Our seniors joined Air India for OJT, and some of them are going to GoAir also. Until now, I have seen the topmost roles offered here are junior technicians.
Infrastructure: Our college doesn't have a campus. This college is situated inside another college which operates in the afternoon session. This college doesn't even have air-conditioning facilities, and it doesn't organise any sort of sports day. Practical labs are not up to date compared to other colleges that need a huge upgrade.
Faculty: Expect for 1 or 2 teachers, other teachers in this college aren't good enough for teaching. Whenever they try to complete B.Sc course, some topics will not be surely taught. They won't even teach them in future. The pass percentage for A.M.E exams is 75%, while for B.Sc, it is 40%. Sometimes teachers teach on the projector.
Other: Even after studying this course for 3 years, the fact that we haven't seen an aircraft is the worst. I chose this course because I think there's much scope in future as aviation in India is growing. This college could improve the infrastructure and the teaching experience for students, which its competitors offer. Events and fest are not organised in our college at all, and even extracurricular activities are also not organised.

Aircraft Maintenance Engineering in B1.1 (Heavy Aeroplan and Turbine Engine) - Batch of 2013

The Bombay Flying Club then, now and always.
Placements: The college provides complete placement assistance with its influential contacts and relations over the year. Faculty members are ex-airline and ex-air force employees. Almost 90% of the students are currently working with airlines and MROs in India as well as abroad. Students were enrolled in different airline paid apprenticeship programs.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is good. There are projectors and other equipment which is very helpful in teaching. There are air-conditioned classrooms, computer labs and different practical labs for basic practical training. There is a limited number of students per class which ensures proper attention towards the training of each candidate. Live aircraft experience was provided at Dhule and other airlines. Annual sports and aeronautical projects are also organised every year to encourage students. The college also has a good canteen facility on the premises.
Faculty: All instructors were highly qualified in their respective streams with many years of airline experience. Use of projectors and training videos enhances the overall students learning experience. Many industrial visits are conducted every year to Air India, JET Airways, IIT Bombay, Naval Dockyard Workshop, Indian Railway Workshop, etc. Students were sent to different airlines for airline experience. The course is designed in such a way which helps one in the aviation world.
Other: Many events are organised every year. Aeronautical projects, sports events and annual functions are the highlights of the year, which increase student participation and interaction.

Aircraft Maintenance Engineering in B2 (Avionics) - Batch of 2018

There was a good placement when King Fisher Airlines was there, but it is nil now.
Placements: We don't have any placements facility, because we have to clear DGCA module exams to get a job after three years AME course. In that module exam, we have to clear to get BEMAC license, which you are a certified AME, if you don't clear the exam, you will be working as a technician.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is good. All the classrooms have 2-3 A/Cs, and the college has its Learjet Aircraft for training purposes. The college has its own maintenance hangar were different types of aircraft are parked. There is a library where you get all the aviation related books.
Faculty: All the instructors are well-qualified and well experienced in the aviation field with good teaching skills. They have good interaction with students. Many of the instructors are from big airlines and airforce, they teach us in digital projectors, so we can understand the concepts easily.
Other: We have annual sports day and annual function in the month of December, and we have aeronautical project seminar.
