B.Com. (Hons) in Accountancy and Finance - Batch of 2029

Modern infrastructure, strong CU affiliation, and decent corporate placements with activities.
Placements: It emphasizes having a solid base of Accounting & Finance. Admission is open strictly according to 10+2 marks in merit. The course fee is approximately 2.8-3.0 Lacs total. The college claims modern infrastructure and an active placement cell. Recruiters include companies like Deloitte and Amazon, and job roles exist in the finance and corporate sectors. It's preferred by students pursuing professional courses like CA, CS, or MBA. The package offered is 2.1 LPA to above 9 LPA.
Infrastructure: The commerce department and college give us a personal canteen for commerce students and one more canteen for engineering students, and we have 2 labs for commerce and engineering. We have many options for food with good quality and a reasonable price, and we have Wi-Fi facility, but access is only for faculty members. We have football, cricket, tennis, a football playground, etc. There is a girls' hostel only for boys for local sports, an event game happens every year.
Faculty: The teachers are well qualified with experience and they motivate, give personal guidance, mentor, and some subject is not revealed, like ENVS, CVA, etc. These are old, but some faculty are friendly and focus on every student, we understand the Calcutta University, so it makes us challenging to score well in exams and college.
Other: I chose B.Com (Hons), and I chose this college because it gives us more practical activities with proper study, a sports club, events, practical learning like photography, drama, games, entrepreneurship development, and more.

Worst faculty ever also provides no placement and has absolutely rubbish infrastructure.
Placements: Nobody got placed from our batch. We were promised good jobs and internships, especially since our course has a lot of scope, but from our college, we were not recommended anywhere. Nobody got offered any package, and no companies recruited us. 0% Editor, teacher, professor.
Infrastructure: There was no AC, and the lift was often not allowed to be used. There was no water purifier, and the course fee was excessive. Students had to climb many stairs, and there were no holidays. The washrooms never had proper equipment. Students' needs were not taken into account, and nobody paid attention to anyone's problems.
Faculty: Underqualified teachers who taught wrongly and were mean to students. Students were taught incorrectly, and those who followed the instructions of the faculty professors got fewer marks. Too much partiality was present among the professors. Good professors left. Teachers used to be absent, and no correct timings were allotted for classes.

The Heritage College review.
Placements: The college provides good placements with repeated companions and price to provide ample amount of opportunities 2 the students. I have a placement at PWC and very much reputed company that falls top 4 the biggest companies in India providing placements and jobs to many B.Com students.
Infrastructure: College has very nice impressive churidar conditions with smart both availability the teachers and everyone else is very good. Library remains stocked with books and requirement is fully furnished with ample amount computers available and many other interesting facts. The one thing that college lacks is available in all classrooms. But this is not the fault of the college itself because it has been tried but due to the failure of the walls and the architecture of the college because not possible.
Faculty: Faculty members of the college are really nice, they try the best trips and give their the highest ever possible for the best.
Other: College has many co-curricular activities. Events take place throughout the year from three events of the college itself and tie-ups with many reputed colleges throughout Calcutta.

It is a good college in terms of being developed in a well-rounded way academically.
Placements: Placements are good. Around 70% of students got placed students who SAT for placements got roles in top service and consulting firms. The highest package was 6 LPA while the lowest was 3 LPA. The average salary package offered is 4 LPA. Top recruiting companies are TCS, Wipro, and Godrej. Around 60% of students got internship opportunities.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is as nice as the computer labs. The library is well up to standard and large in size with multiple books on each subject. The hostel facility is nice and quiet. There is greenery all around. The canteen food is affordable. It ensures quality up to the top standards.
Faculty: All professors are well-qualified. They are student-friendly. They all have Ph.D.s. They are approachable for both academic and non-academic purposes. The course is quite relevant and provides a round of development in economics. It involves learning both traditional and new theories of economics while also including data as statistical software
Other: Fests are quite nice. This course is affordable while ensuring learning experiences are up to the best standards.

It is a good place to enjoy college life.
Placements: The college offers placements from top companies like Deloitte, TCS, and others. All students with 60% and above are allowed to sit for placements. The lowest package offered is 3.25 LPA and the highest is 10.80 LPA. The college always tries to get 100% of students placed in good companies, but it is based on merit.
Infrastructure: We have amazing labs and smart classrooms, and the library has all the books one needs for their study. I cannot speak much about the hostel facilities as I don't stay there myself, but from what I have heard from my friends, it's good. Sports and games each have their club, and you can join whichever suits you best.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and cooperative. They guide us well through everything (if you attend classes regularly). The course curriculum is very relevant. I wouldn’t say it’s easy, as the college comes under CU, but if you study well, you will get through it easily.
Other: There are always many events and fests happening around the campus.

Review of The Heritage College.
Placements: The placements are not bad as per my seniors they seem to provide good placements in some of the best companies in India but these require a lot of effort from the students side which I would say is not worth it. A student can rather put that effort to make a better portfolio for himself.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is on as we don't have AC in our classes. There is no Wi-Fi for the students which for a college in 2025 is not at all acceptable especially when in Kolkata we have to face a temperature of 40 degree celsius in the summers.
Faculty: Teachers are nice. They try their very best to give each child what they deserve. They also try innovative teaching methods. The college is a bit late in all important parts. They try their best, but it's not their fault. It's the fault of the management.

Faculty members are good. They give a lot of opportunities to students to improve their careers.
Placements: It is a common under-graduate degree course. It does not provide placements but they offer many internship opportunities. These internships do not directly provide jobs. They boost our careers by making our resumes more approachable and presentable.
Infrastructure: The classrooms, laboratory, and library are pretty good and maintained. All the facilities are available on the campus. Our campus provides a lot of things, so hostel residents do not need to go outside of the campus. The mess food is not too good but decent.
Faculty: Faculty members of our college are highly qualified. They are easygoing. They also encourage and support students. The curriculum is well-planned. Its not only gives us book knowledge but makes us street-smart too. The pass percentage of our college is almost 85%.
Other: I chose the course straight up because of the faculty members. Professors are the best. It would have been a little better if there were more fieldwork. There are many clubs to choose from like photography club, drama club, etc. We can participate in fests, sports, and many more things. They hold many education-related conferences.

Really good faculty and campus life.
Placements: As a B.Sc. student, all of our seniors pursue Masters in highly esteemed institutions like the London School of Economics, Liverpool University, not to mention Christ University and others. Many of them also pursue an MBA. One of the alumni I know has completed their MBA from IIM Joka.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the course is excellent. There is Wi-Fi, computer labs, and it is mainly viable for the students of Chemistry, Physics, and Economics who, in Semester 5, have opted for Applied Econometrics. There is an amazing library where you get all kinds of books, and even if the books are not available, our college provides a site called N-LIST where you can log in with the credentials given by the college and have access to all books and get them online. The quality of food in the canteen is excellent. All students, even the faculty members, have their lunch there, and the food is reasonable.
Faculty: The faculty members at Heritage College are excellent. Our HOD, Dr. Debashish Majumdar, is not only an amazing teacher but a great mentor. He is one of the reasons I opted for this college because, as a child, we read books written by him. Learning from him makes the entire course worthwhile and fun. Before our university exams, the college conducts internal exams for thorough revision and to help us know where we are lacking. All the other faculty members are very insightful and nice.
Other: There are fest events taking place. All the clubs, like the photography club, music club, dance club, etc., are extremely active and well-renowned in other colleges in Kolkata. They help students taking part in the college gain various exposures.
