The New College is one of the best colleges in India. There are lots of courses to study.
Placements: The placement at New College in Chennai had a decent record, with a marvelous portion of students getting placed in various companies such as Infosys, HP, Lenovo, etc. The placement of the college ranged from 70% to 80%. This was the latest review of New College in Chennai.
Infrastructure: The New College in Chennai had best new teaching infrastructure, including a prime location in the main city within a 15-acre green campus. It had well-maintained buildings, advanced labs, scientific classrooms, a library, a masjid, a playground, big parking, a gym, Wi-Fi, and many other facilities.
Faculty: The New College offered 27 UG and 15 PG programmes across Arts, Science, and Commerce disciplines. Research leading to the award of a Ph.D. was offered in 11 departments. There were no passing exams, a minimum of 25% marks in CIA was required. The passing marks for the end-semester exam were 40% out of 75 marks.
Other: There were lots of extracurricular activities in The New College, such as sports like cricket, volleyball, kabaddi, and football. Events such as culturals and annual day were held. To be frank, there were lots of good teachers.

The teachers, placements, and sports facilities are good.
Placements: Placements in The New College were more competitive than other colleges. It was just because of the quality campus interviews. The fee structure was much reasonable compared to other colleges. About 40 courses were offered by the college. There were PG courses which always provide good results. The placement cell of the college supported internships at any cost. The way they guided was enthusiastic. Almost, more than 150 students were selected.
Infrastructure: Mainly, I like our college because of sports. The college is very much supportive and provides guidance in sports, and also, NCC is important to us. There are labs with all facilities although I heard from my friends that it is great. The library is equipped with modern computers and internet facility. The library is another most important aspect of the college. Classrooms are the same as other colleges. Medical facilities are provided very quick as there are three hospitals in the surroundings.
Faculty: I could say that the faculty members in our college were the most experienced ones. The college has about 250 teachers with more than eight years of experience. For me, it was quite good, and I was interested in their lectures. From their lectures, we can be confident enough to have a good career ahead. Learning is the other most important aspect of this college.
Other: The college organises regular NSS and NCC camps. The college provides a scholarship of Rs. 5,000 per year. Annually, events are organised along with many activities.

The new college was very sweet in royapetteh.
Placements: The Career Guidance Cell at The New College functions under the direct control and directions of the Principal of the College. A team of Professors nominated by they Principal, work together to guide the students on Career opportunities. The objective of the cell is to identify the talents available among the students of this College and nurture and harness them further and offer guidance to choose a bright and right career. The activities of the cell include collecting the database of the students and compiling them for use when needed. The cell facilitates the students to improve their skills to face various competitive exams such as civil service exams conducted by UPSC and TNPSC. The Career Guidance Cell organizes seminars and meetings to encourage the students to plan their future. Above all, the main function of the cell is to invite reputed companies to the campus to conduct campus interviews and find suitable jobs for the skills available among the students. The cell also facilitates the economically weaker sections of the students of first and second year undergraduate courses to find suitable part time jobs to supplement the family income without affecting the academic pursuit.
Infrastructure: The New College is a Government-Aided Muslim minority College affiliated to the University of Madras. It was founded by the Muslim Educational Association of Southern India (MEASI). Since its founding in 1951 with about 200 intermediate course students, The New College has rigorously upheld commitment to providing quality Higher Education to the deserving students, especially from weaker sections of the society. The college is currently run by a Managing Committee of the MEASI under the chairmanship of noted Chartered Accountant, Janab. U. Mohamed Khalilullah. On our beautiful campus on Peter's Road, Royapettah, Chennai, about 5000 students pursue their intellectual passion through more than 35 academic programmes. The New college campus also houses three other institutions run by its parent body viz. , MEASI Academy of Architecture, MEASI Institute of Management, and MEASI Institute of Information Technology.
Faculty: Library - About Us The New College Library has been emerging as a Knowledge Resource Centre mainly catering to the needs of the Faculty, Administrative Staff, Research Scholars and Students towards accessing information. The Library has been shifted to a spacious and easily accessible area in the new diamond jubilee building. Our library is housed in a hall of 18000 sqft with good infrastructure and ambience. There is a regular subscription to leading Newspapers, Magazines and Journals thereby augmenting the library as a rich source of knowledge. The feedback from users of the Library testify that they have always cherished memories of having availed the services of this treasure-house of knowledge in the past decades.
Other: Every student of the I year degree class shall be required to undergo the course of physical training prescribed by the college and his annual attendance and progress certificates shall not be considered complete unless the principal has certified on the report of the director of physical education that the student has satisfactorily undergone the prescribed course in physical training and put in three-fourths of the attendance in addition to the usual course of instructionNo student will be exempted from the course of physical training except such students as may have been declared by the medical officer of the college to be unfit to undergo a course of physical training and approved by the university. However students who are in N. C. and N. S. will be exemptedIst year U. G and P. G students have to undergo medical inspection without fail. Students who fail to do so are not eligible to write the examinations.

Other: This is the best college I have ever seen with the best faculty members available and a big campus with many other departments and co-curricular activities. The facilities here include a library and a big playground. The best thing is that the college is located in the centre of the city and there are cultural events, annual functions and educational tours organised every year here.
