Excellent infrastructure and highly recommended college.
Placements: Students placed in my course is higher than I thought, many students got placed and had the chance to be placed in top companies. About 85%of students got placements, many students got placed as an Editor, in Newsroom and also as a Anchor, Interviewer, It was worth to study the course, as this course involves searching, which was really fun and helped me gain more knowledge.
Infrastructure: The hostel facilities are available and the food quality, canteen, medical facilities everything is very good. Sports and games are also conducted in a high range, they do have a wide range of books in library and the classrooms are also big. Our college provides Wi-Fi for students, faculty members and all the other staff in the campus. They do have Wi-Fi in Library, classrooms, computer labs.
Faculty: The teaching is overall good as the faculty members are highly experienced, and they also help the students in extracurricular activities. The curriculum is also related to the course and the exams are in semester pattern and pass percentage is above 90%. The curriculum seems more theoretical and if you want to be a specialist in journalism, you can consider taking B.J.
Other: The best thing in MCC is the fest, cultural programs and extracurricular activities. We can enjoy the college life throughout the entire course.

Overall, the college is good in terms of academics.
Placements: On-campus placements for journalism students are not that regular and often. Few companies like Reuters do come for recruiting graduates, but the students don't turn up for interviews. Apart from on-campus placements, most of the students go for jobs and works of their own choice. Few go for freelancing, few go for post graduation etc. So, in terms of campus placements for journalism students, the college is not very good. But, a compulsory internship has to be done for 60 days during the 6th semester. Even though there is no on-campus placements, students from MCC are working with big and renowned companies like Reuters, The Hindu, India Today, CNN etc.
Infrastructure: When it comes to infrastructure and environment, Madras Christian College is one of the best not only in Chennai but also in entire South India. The college is almost 200 years old, built during the British era. The old high vintage buildings, the long corridors, greenery and the whole campus are thrilling and worth having a walk. The whole campus is spread over 365 acres and is known for its flora and fauna, especially deers and peacocks. The campus has different labs, canteens, lounge etc.
Faculty: MCC is one of the best colleges for Arts in entire India. There are separate faculty members for different departments. Most of them are very friendly and understanding. The department of journalism has 5 faculty members, and they are very strict when it comes to assignments and submissions. Overall, we get to learn a lot. This department has taught me how to keep patience in the worst situations.
Other: Deepwoods is the greatest and most awaited cultural fest conducted every year in February. Students from various colleges come and take part in this. This is the best time to be spent and enjoy in MCC.

Other: Madras Christian College offers much more than academics. It is a place to learn, unlearn and re-learn. The students imbibe the skill to take ownership of things and this is a very important for one’s career and life. The faculty is top notch and the exposure students receive is extraordinary. The hostel/ hall life is one of a kind experience that only students of MCC can understand and feel. Some of the famous alumni include Dr. S. Radhakrishan, V.V Giri, Indra Nooyi, Prakash Karat, Gemini Ganeshan etc. The canteens are excellent and run by qualified people. They take the catering for various in-house events and deliver a lavish variety of cuisines. Sports and co-curricular activities have an equal emphasis in MCC.

This college is one of the best in South India.
Placements: Most graduated students went for the advertisement companies and also in IT companies. Also around 20% of students who completed the course got internship in big companies like The Times of India, Mahindra, etc., some even started their own companies or sectors.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure are top-notch in my opinion because the campus is big and tidy and is also very fresh naturally because it has lots of trees and some wildlife on-campus and they have great cooks and the foods are healthy and tasty.
Faculty: All the teachers that I came across are seniors. Teachers and their teaching are very helpful because they try their best to educate students, sometimes even individuals. They are very knowledgeable and I think they are more than qualified. The course includes practical curriculum so the students are ready for industry by the time of completion.
Other: I chose this course because I love exploring and it gives me vast knowledge of the world. I do not wish to improve anything because it's the best.
