My experience through my college.

Placements: The college is excellent. Every sir and ma'am is very polite and motivates us. In the 1st semester of the first year, we got to work in workshops like the machine shop. There are also many labs, like physics and chemistry labs. I chose Civil Engineering so that I can build roads, buildings, etc.

Infrastructure: We have Wi-Fi in our college. Labs are so good. We have so many instruments in our lab and there are so many labs like physics lab, chemistry lab, and IT lab. Our classrooms are so nice. We also have a lift in our college and our HODs are so helpful to us.

Faculty: Our faculty members are good and helpful to us. We have so many exams. In a semester, there are 2 internal exams and then the main exam for 60 marks then we also have viva. In viva, there are all teachers in parallel and ask us questions about labs and theory.

Review of Tufanganj Government Polytechnic College.

Placements: Overall, 40% of students go for higher education. Around 60% of students got placements or opted for government jobs. Students were placed at companies like L&T, Balaji Group Pvt. Ltd., and other private companies. Our college doesn't provide any internships.

Infrastructure: Labs, classrooms, and library were good. Classrooms were clean and had all the electric facilities. Our college provides all the books for the semester. More than enough books were available. There were hostels for boys and girls.

Faculty: For civil engineering, we had only 2 faculty members. Both are qualified and friendly. Our juniors had five faculty members, and they were quite helpful. Faculty members in the survey and mechanical departments were friendly, qualified, and knowledgeable. We had two internal exams and one semester exam every six months. Exams are easy if you study daily and complete all the assignments.

Learn the story of buildings.

Placements: Around 40% students get placed in private company like IBM, TCS, CTS etc. But most of the students chose higher studies. Top recruiting company was TCS. Few students got internship in Cognizant. Top roles was project engineer, supervisor etc.

Infrastructure: College building is like new one. All the facilities like hostel for both, playground and indoor stadium is available. Wi-Fi is available but for official work only. Labs and classroom is clean. Most of the books are available in library. Hostel building is new and canteen food is average.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. Teaching quality is best, they also teach with practical examples. Course curriculum is relevant. College semester is way difficult, most of the question is theory based. 21% marks needed to pass the exam.

Other: My aim is to join Assam Rifle in road and bridge construction department. That's why I chose this branch i.e. civil engineering. The best thing is that this knowledge is needed in daily life style. Class timings should be rescheduled. Events and fest is organised on annual basis. Scholarships are available for applicable students.

Happy and memorable moments from TGP.

Placements: Overall 30% of students are going for higher education. So, the rest of the students, more than 60% of students got placement in college and 20% goes for government jobs. Previous year our group joined Companies like L&T, Balaji Group Pvt. Ltd. And many more. For internships, college doesn't provide any but students can join.

Infrastructure: For mechanical, we have all labs and instruments but for Civil, we have to use one of the mechanical labs and that's the problem I think (because their teacher doesn't allow us). Classrooms are clean and have all the electric facilities. For library and college provides all the books for the semester (more than enough books available).

Faculty: In the survey and mechanical departments, the teachers are so friendly, qualified and knowledgeable. Civil department review- During my first 2 years of college, the teachers were all helpful & friendly. They all are qualified teachers so their way of teaching was awesome. But in my last year, we got only 2 teachers (civil) and one of them was very rude to me and my friend circle.

This college is best for me because there are good labs in different departments.

Placements: Placements are not good. It can be challenging, but this college will increase your confidence, lavity, and profit in your career life. However, many small businesses offer internships. Two or three companies come every year, and they don't take many students. More students are taken from the mechanical branch.

Infrastructure: TGP provides many facilities, like specialized laboratories for various fields such as civil, mechanical, and survey. Library: A well-stocked library with a vast collection of books Wi-Fi: there is high-speed internet for teachers; we can also use it if we want. Classrooms: well-equipped classrooms with audiovisual aids, comfortable seating, and interactive technology for effective teaching and learning in the AC room. Medical facilities: TGP has on-campus healthcare facilities or easy access to medical services. Hostel: There is a hostel beside the college; there are many rooms and good food facilities. And the hostel room is also good. There is a mess and a food shop outside the college.

Faculty: The teachers are very helpful and there are the best teachers. And their teaching is the best. The course is relevant. Those who study well get good results. Here, the exam is taken with a good guide. The pass percentage is 40%, and the ability to make students industry-ready can vary greatly between colleges and programs.
