Placements are good, really great infrastructure and facilities with huge campus, great faculties.

Placements: The companies visiting our college for placements are one of the top notch companies like MOL, BW, Line, NYK etc., the placements starts itself from second year and from first year for girls. Starting position is DC with 40000-70000u20b9 stipend. The students of passed out batch were all placed in good companies. Our senior most batch is half placed and others are on the way, few second year students are also placed and coming to girls, they are placed itself from first year in topnotch companies.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is quiet good, they have AC classrooms with facilities. We have Library, Ship In Campus, 360u00b0 Bridge Sim, Practical Facilities, Equipments, Chart Room, Marine Workshops, Open Air Theatre, Maruti Suzuki JIM etc. Hostel is average, and the marine mess food is great as compared to others and what we expect from hostel mess. Sports are available as we have a sports complex where students can play different games with Gym, Swimming, Lawn Tennis, Boxing facilities and all.

Faculty: The curriculum is good, it's updated each year and it's relevant. The faculty is quite good as it has retire mariners, captains, offices, chief engineers, master mariners and more, they are well qualified and knowledgeable of what they are doing. Exams are not that difficult and if you studied well or even focused in class you will pass with good grades.

Other: Events like Convergence, Karwaan and more are organized here where students from college and outside participate. Sports events are also organized like the Marine Premier League (MPL) and more. The crowd is good as this college is a town in itself with so many courses ranging from civil, bio, petroleum to marine and has so many different hostels with even a micro forest and greenery inside campus. The connectivity for marine cadets is not that great outside college, as they usually get one out leave for 6-10 hours per week, as the college is present in the outskirts.

Decent campus life and training opportunities, placements depend on performance.

Placements: Most students (around 80u201390%) get placed by the end of the course, especially those who perform well. Top companies like NYK, MOL, OSM Home, Torm, Anglo-Eastern, etc. Come for placements. Almost all students get internship/sea training through the companies, which is a big advantage in this field. Main roles offered are Deck Cadets, Engine Cadets, ETO, and Ratings. The salary/package isn't fixed like regular jobs, but it's quite good compared to other fields, especially after gaining experience.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure at UVPCE is quite good and modern. Classes are comfortable, mostly air-conditioned and equipped with SMART boards. Hostel life is decent as rooms are furnished and basic needs like water, electricity, and security are well managed. Mess food is okay. Not amazing, but manageable on a daily basis. There's a medical facility for basic issues, and the campus has good sports facilities like grounds, gym, and even a swimming pool for free.

Faculty: The faculty is really good and supportive except few, and they focus well on both theory and practical understanding. They are mostly helpful and knowledgeable, and teaching quality is good overall (some are really great, some just average). The curriculum is relevant, but to be truly industry ready you'll need to do your own projects and skill-building by your own Semester exams are moderate. Not too tough if you study regularly. Passing is manageable, usually around 40%, so most students clear without much trouble, Nobody fails:).
