It has good infrastructure, good faculty members, and hostel services.

Placements: All students get placed in their own company, which is ESM, or executive ship management. The waiting time has increased a little bit due to COVID, but there is a guarantee of 100% job placement in the company.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is very good. The hostel facilities are extremely good. The food and the rooms are very clean. Being a professional college, certain standards in the hostel are maintained. The wardens are very good. They keep you disciplined at all times and are there for you in case of an emergency, be it medical or anything else.

Faculty: The studies are a little difficult, but teachers are very good. They are very knowledgeable, and the seamanship instructors are very good at what they do. They prepare you for the semester exams in a very good way by taking mock and pre-final examinations. If students are not performing well, they are given special attention.

Other: People who want to get placed in the merchant navy career line will get a good start if they start from this college.

I am satisfied with the college.

Placements: Our college provides placements to all cadets. No matter what's your rank. The only thing that depends on rank is the order of getting the ship, except that, it gives placement to all the cadets. They teach you everything before going to ship so that you are well prepared.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is well-planned and spacy. Unlike other hostel's mess the food served here is good. The wardens are well trained at what they do and take care of every cadet properly. They keep regular exams and tests to make us prepared for the semesters which is very helpful.

Faculty: Faculty members are the best in this field with years of experience and are very kind personalities. All of them treat all the cadets equally without any discrimination. They solve all the cadets' problems personally, and hence no cadet feels left out.

Best place to provide a good Ambience for studies and splendid infrastructure.

Placements: Almost all the students were placed, the salary was 250$ for all students for Their first ship and 50$ increment for every next Ship they join. Executive ship management and British Petroleum were the recruiting companies. We had our roles to serve as a deck cadet on board ship. The above-mentioned companies provided an internship for us.

Infrastructure: Our college has one of the best infrastructures in Asia and they were awarded for that. The accommodation was made in such a way to resemble a ship. We had centralised Air conditioning in our classrooms and cafeteria. Our admin block was the best of all the structures. We had separate courts for all sports and students used to participate in all tournaments.

Faculty: All teachers were professionals and they had quite a lot of experience. They were master mariners and taught us the best. They made us aware of how everything goes onboard ship and sharing their personal experience. Courses were completed on time and revised in order to perform well in university exams.

Other: I chose this course as marine was my aim. My uncle was a captain and he was my inspiration to select this course. This college had scholarships and the campus was extraordinary and one of the best in Asia.

It is the best maritime training institute in India.

Placements: Executive Ship Management Pvt Ltd provides sponsorship to all the students of this college to complete their on-board ship training. The salary packages offered vary according to the course of the students. British Petroleum Pvt Ltd and some other companies also recruit cadets from our college.

Infrastructure: Being residential college hostels are available to each and every student. Hostels are very well-maintained and a lot of facilities like laundry, sports, basketball, gym, lobby, swimming pool, etc., are available to all the cadets. The cafeteria serves healthy and hygienic food here.

Faculty: I have met some of the best teachers in my life at our college. Faculty members are experienced, and most of them are from the navy background. The management is also very well managed, and the blended learning programme provides hands-on training to each and every cadet.

Other: I chose this course as it provides an adventurous and hardworking environment which matches my interests, and it was my dream to study in a world-class merchant navy college. SIMS has a really good infrastructure.

Placements: Everyone will get in-house placement in executive ship and management ship. But, there will be a short waiting period according to the ranking. You just have to clear the IMU, medical and other tests. You will also have a chance to get a placement in British petroleum.

Infrastructure: Classrooms are equipped with modern facilities, and there is a good way of learning through the blended learning platform, which helps the student to understand subjects easily. We will also get time to participate in sports and games including swimming.

Faculty: There will be experienced captains, and chief engineers served in sea-going vessels for a long time, and the academics will be under their control. There will be other technical faculty members also for engineering and officer cadets. You will get a good exposure to the industry you are going to work for.

Placements: SIMS or betterly Samundra was awarded as the best maritime training institute by DG SHIPPING India. Well known for its excellency in terms of maritime training and providing a world class trainong for trainee navigators. This institute is owned by one of the leading ship manning companies Executive ship management a Singapore based company, which offers 100% placement for their cadets on board their vessels. So here what you have to do is just get good marks in Semester examinations and rest all is done by ESM. Also 10% of total cadets are selected for BPMS (British Petroleum Maritime services) one of the best in the world. So its a worth institution if you are looking for being an officer or an engineer.

Infrastructure: In terms of Infrastructure, Samundra institute of maritime studies is said to be one of the best maritime institutes worldwide. A campus full of modern technologies whether be its Hostel which is a ship shaped building with two floors to its classroom I. e. its academic building which is fully air conditioned and equipped with projectors, Be its training & research centre which is a fully circular be its workshop which is fully epuipped with modern machineries and navigational equipments. Sims has a very big playground for cricket and soccer. Volleyball, Tennis, basketball court 1nos. Each. Food remains concern for everyone but here u get a well balanced diet which consists breakfast, lunch, snacks &dinner with both veg and non veg food items taste is also very good.

Faculty: Samundra institute of maritime studies or SIMS has a great team of faculty members who keeps a direct contact with Maritime sector. A great team of Captains and marine engineers. A team of Ex Navy sailors both from deck and engine. Some good ETOs as well. So education is never a problem for SIMS cadets.

Other: They organise two seminars each year for ESM officers and engineers which is inaugurated with a bashing performances by SIMS cadets in its very own auditorium. Campus surroundings is a like a cherry on the cake. Greenery in Lonavla. They provide scholarships as well to some of the needy cadets.

A stepping stone for marine life.

Placements: The placement is available but waiting period for the ship is about more than 2 years that is the only problem, but after one or two years, everyone will get the ship in the executive ship management company. There is a chance to get the ship in British Petroleum also where they also give placement for toppers.

Infrastructure: Really a world-class institute. The facilities are really damn awesome, Samundra Institute of Maritime Studies is the best college for marine studies in India because of infrastructure, it's like a paradise. The classroom facilities are good, A/C is available in all time, system class is also really awesome.

Faculty: They are damn awesome faculty members. All of them were really cool and nice guys, marine instructors are well trained Indian navy guys, others like captains are 15 years experienced merchant navy captains. The lecturers are also really cool and perfect with their subjects.

Other: Every year, they conduct a sports day and there is a farewell celebration for all the students. The fest will be conducted once a year, but only marine college students are the participants. The scholarship is available, for that, you have to clear one scholarship interview.

Absolutely great. Everything from top to bottom is impressive.

Placements: 100% of students are placed in my course. The highest package in my course is 8 LPA. The top company is ESM. 100% get internships from my course in ESM company. In my course, there are several roles like cadet, 3rd officer, 2nd officer, chief officer, and captain.

Infrastructure: In my campus, most places have Wi-Fi and there are various classrooms according to the courses. There is also a library that has every type of book. The quality of facilities in my hostel is good. The food quality is also good. Many types of games are also available.

Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, knowledgeable, and kind, and their number is sufficient. The course curriculum is relevant. There are a total of six exams in a one-year course, three exams every six months. Exams are not very difficult if you are good in studies. The passing percentage is 70%.

Other: I chose this course because of its short duration. Other than that, everything is good.
