It is the best maritime training institute in India.

Placements: Executive Ship Management Pvt Ltd provides sponsorship to all the students of this college to complete their on-board ship training. The salary packages offered vary according to the course of the students. British Petroleum Pvt Ltd and some other companies also recruit cadets from our college.

Infrastructure: Being residential college hostels are available to each and every student. Hostels are very well-maintained and a lot of facilities like laundry, sports, basketball, gym, lobby, swimming pool, etc., are available to all the cadets. The cafeteria serves healthy and hygienic food here.

Faculty: I have met some of the best teachers in my life at our college. Faculty members are experienced, and most of them are from the navy background. The management is also very well managed, and the blended learning programme provides hands-on training to each and every cadet.

Other: I chose this course as it provides an adventurous and hardworking environment which matches my interests, and it was my dream to study in a world-class merchant navy college. The college is well-connected by roads and railways as it is located in the city of Lonavla. The college provides a perfect environment for studies.

SIMS has a really good infrastructure.

Placements: Everyone will get in-house placement in executive ship and management ship. But, there will be a short waiting period according to the ranking. You just have to clear the IMU, medical and other tests. You will also have a chance to get a placement in British petroleum.

Infrastructure: Classrooms are equipped with modern facilities, and there is a good way of learning through the blended learning platform, which helps the student to understand subjects easily. We will also get time to participate in sports and games including swimming.

Faculty: There will be experienced captains, and chief engineers served in sea-going vessels for a long time, and the academics will be under their control. There will be other technical faculty members also for engineering and officer cadets. You will get a good exposure to the industry you are going to work for.

Yes, anyone with minimum 60% marks in PCM in 10+2 , irrespective of gender may enroll in to BSc Nautical Science. There are some minimum physical fitness requirements like your eyesight should be 6/6, Color Blindness not acceptable and other basic health requirements details of which could be found
