Faculty is fine, infrastructure is awesome, and fees are reasonable, according to the facilities.
Placements: Only a few top 5% students get placement, and mostly, the students there who are studying aren't dependent upon college placement. Mostly, although faculty members are very supportive of any guidance related to course or placement, I think students don't rely on college placements.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is awesome, with approximately Ethernet speed of about 700-800 Mbps, libraries are best for studying, and classrooms are digital and fine. Almost all labs are interested in such a great Ethernet speed, and you can even take your own laptop to the lab if you need to.
Faculty: Teachers are well educated, but I think that their curriculum is outdated because they are just giving into all possible programming instead of strengthening one or two core programming languages. Although that's regular, they need a great improvement in the curriculum.
Other: I wish that they could implement modernization of technologies and languages nowadays instead of traditional ones.

HoD sir, is really good at what he does. Friends are good.
Placements: It is open after 2 years. I can't say much about the placement opportunities, but the people who were there before are well placed, which is a good sign. They did well, although it took time as there was no guidance for them, but we have them, so we are on higher ground.
Infrastructure: Good-looking building and class, but seats are not well-maintained. It is broken and messy, but they are doing well to manage that. Great building with a large space, has 3 floors offering different courses. A water cooler is provided, and it is easier to access it as well.
Faculty: Faculty is small as compared to other branches, but they trying to their part in all this. I would like to emphasise the word trying. HoD carries the department no doubt. He does it best. Great person, absolutely hilarious when he wants to be. And a great teacher, by the way.

It is best for a middle-class family.
Placements: Placement at CSJMU is average to moderate, depending on the courses. In the technical courses like B.Tech, BCA, and MBA, placement opportunities are comparatively better than in the non-technical stream. Around 60 to 80% get placed in some courses. The average package is around three to four LPA, while the highest packages go up to 10 to 12 LPA. The median salary is approximately 3.2 LPA for UG courses and higher for PG courses.
Infrastructure: CSJMU is spread over around 260 plus acres, providing a peaceful and student-friendly environment. The university offers well-equipped classrooms, laboratories, and a central library with a wide collection of academic books and digital resources. Wi-Fi connectivity is available in many areas, especially libraries and departments. The campus also includes a sports ground, gym, auditorium, medical facilities, canteen, and an extracurricular activities area, which helps in overall student development. Lab and modern facilities are also provided.
Faculty: The faculty at CSJMU is generally qualified and knowledgeable, with many teachers having good academic experience. Most teachers are helpful and supportive, although the quality of teaching can vary from department to department. Placements: Placement at CSJMU is average, with around 60 to 80% placement in technical courses. Around 60 to 75% student get placed in good batches, while others either go for higher studies or off-campus opportunities. The average package ranges between 3 and 4 LPA, while the highest package can go up to 10 to 12 LPA in some cases. Most of the companies visiting the campus are service-based companies.
Infrastructure: CSJMU has a large green campus with good infrastructure, including a library, Wi-Fi, sports facilities, and medical support. It has a balanced and comprehensive strong placement in 2026. It has a lush green infrastructure.
Placements: The placement season for 2026 has shown a strong recovery in core engineering and a specialised focus on AI data science. Placement statistics typically range from 85-90% in tier-1/tier-2 colleges for Computer Science and IT branches. Other branches have 100 percent placements.
Infrastructure: In most learning, technical, and management institutes today, the infrastructure is designed to be smarter and more integrated with Wi-Fi and connectivity. Most campuses now offer high-speed 5G or Wi-Fi connectivity. The mess should be changed. Students should be committed to deciding the menu. Quality is generally hygienic, but can feel repetitive.
Faculty: Faculty members' experience in engineering often fails to meet qualifications. Most tier-1 and tier-2 colleges now mandate a PhD for permanent faculty members. Senior professors obtain a BG with research, and the younger assistant professors are very approachable.
Other: I chose this college because the primary devices are high with ROI and the growing reputation of the UIT. The best thing is academic support, but faculty members are not well-qualified. However, they are supportive of students' personal growth. It is a government Institute and accredited with an A grade. It provides a recognised degree.

Very good college, good atmosphere in the college.
Placements: There are a variety of internships offered during the course, and as an MCA student, I have seen the roles mainly of the web developer, system engineer, full-stack developer, Java developer, etc. The students can take the placement from the very beginning of their final year, and there are a lot of companies visited the college each year. The student got enough drives to get placed, but it totally depends on the student themselves, and I would say that one should work on their skills, then it gives them the upper edge in the placement.
Infrastructure: There are separate libraries for each block, and there is a good availability of books in the library. The hostel timings at night are 10:00 PM, and after that, the hostel will be closed. The infrastructure of the college is the best among all the colleges of Kanpur, and the labs are also well-maintained. The facilities in the labs are sufficient and good enough to complete all the related tasks. Classrooms are spacious and digitally updated. There are different grounds for different sports. Wi-Fi is all over the campus.
Faculty: The faculty members are very well-behaved and very supportive. You can feel free to ask about any doubts related to their own subject or any other domain, because if it is not related to their domain, then they will refer you to the best teacher of that domain. The overall curriculum of the college is as per the university norms, and it is undoubtedly very good. If the student is coming to the college on a daily basis, then there is no chance of facing any backlog in the semester exams.
