In the technical courses like B.Tech, BCA, and MBA, placement opportunities are comparatively better than in the non-technical stream. Around 60 to 80% get placed in some courses. The average package is around three to four LPA, while the highest packages go up to 10 to 12 LPA. The median salary is approximately 3.2 LPA for UG courses and higher for PG courses.

Infrastructure: CSJMU is spread over around 260 plus acres, providing a peaceful and student-friendly environment. The university offers well-equipped classrooms, laboratories, and a central library with a wide collection of academic books and digital resources. Wi-Fi connectivity is available in many areas, especially libraries and departments. The campus also includes a sports ground, gym, auditorium, medical facilities, canteen, and an extracurricular activities area, which helps in overall student development. It has a balanced and comprehensive strong placement in 2026. It has a lush green infrastructure.

Placements: The placement season for 2026 has shown a strong recovery in core engineering and a specialised focus on AI data science. Placement statistics typically range from 85-90% in tier-1/tier-2 colleges for Computer Science and IT branches. Other branches have 100 percent placements.

Infrastructure: In most learning, technical, and management institutes today, the infrastructure is designed to be smarter and more integrated with Wi-Fi and connectivity. Most campuses now offer high-speed 5G or Wi-Fi connectivity. The mess should be changed. Students should be committed to deciding the menu. Quality is generally hygienic, but can feel repetitive.

Faculty: Faculty members' experience in engineering often fails to meet qualifications. Most tier-1 and tier-2 colleges now mandate a PhD for permanent faculty members. Senior professors obtain a BG with research, and the younger assistant professors are very approachable.

Other: I chose this college because the primary devices are high with ROI and the growing reputation of the UIT. The best thing is academic support, but faculty members are not well-qualified. However, they are supportive of students' personal growth. It is a government Institute and accredited with an A grade. It provides a recognised degree.

Very good college, good atmosphere in the college.

Placements: There are a variety of internships offered during the course, and as an MCA student, I have seen the roles mainly of the web developer, system engineer, full-stack developer, Java developer, etc. The students can take the placement from the very beginning of their final year, and there are a lot of companies visited the college each year. The student got enough drives to get placed, but it totally depends on the student themselves, and I would say that one should work on their skills, then it gives them the upper edge in the placement.

Infrastructure: There are separate libraries for each block, and there is a good availability of books in the library. The hostel timings at night are 10:00 PM, and after that, the hostel will be closed. The infrastructure of the college is the best among all the colleges of Kanpur, and the labs are also well-maintained. The facilities in the labs are sufficient and good enough to complete all the related tasks. Classrooms are spacious and digitally updated. There are different grounds for different sports. Wi-Fi is all over the campus.

Faculty: The faculty members are very well-behaved and very supportive. You can feel free to ask about any doubts related to their own subject or any other domain, because if it is not related to their domain, then they will refer you to the best teacher of that domain. The overall curriculum of the college is as per the university norms, and it is undoubtedly very good. If the student is coming to the college on a daily basis, then there is no chance of facing any backlog in the semester exams.

Satisfied with the placements and internships, excellent faculty.

Placements: I would discuss the Chemical department first, so the highest placement in the chemical department was 25 LPA, and there are government placements in chemical engineering that offer decent placements. The placement in CSE is not as high as the demands of this generation, but it is decent. The average package is 7 to 8 LPA in CSE. Internship offers are available from the 2nd semester onwards. Companies do come, but this is all about your skills. Companies in collaboration with IITs Kharagpur, IIT Bombay, and IIT Kanpur come for internships, which provide training as well.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is more than the basics. The labs are well-equipped, and the department is fully air-conditioned with more seats than the maximum capacity. The library is excellent and provides all the books required for a basic learner to an advanced reader. Moreover, the full campus is Wi-Fi covered, which is a must in today's time for the candidates.

Faculty: Teachers for the B.Tech here are mostly IITians. They are Ph.D. qualified and knowledgeable. Especially the chemical branch of UIET Kanpur is renowned and known for its excellent faculty and teaching qualities. The staff is respectful and polite. Teachers are caring and informative in each of their lectures. They are helpful in academics and beyond. Exams are based 80% on the teachers' lectures and 20% on your thinking ability, so they are moderate.

Other: The fest here is decent. We have 3 to 4 tech fests a year from departmental to college rank. Connectivity is quite low in the college but not that bad. Sports facilities are beyond my expectations. They are excellent for both hostellers and non-hostellers.

A well known university with good infrastructure and top placements.

Placements: 100% of students got placed. The highest was 26 LPA. The lowest can vary, it can go to 2 LPA or even less than that. Top recruiters are PSU, Bharat Petroleum, oil-based companies, and paint companies. None as of now got internships. They offered top roles as senior engineers at oil and petrol refineries. Most of them go to higher studies thereafter, although 50% also qualify for UPSC examinations.

Infrastructure: Overall facility is good, Wi-Fi is easily accessible in every corner of the building. The library has more than 2000 books for every course and can accommodate over 1000 students. The hostel is well maintained. The food is also bearable neither bad nor good. The sports facility is really good. Almost all sports centers are open up till midnight.

Faculty: Teachers here are really helpful, and they take an interest in each and every student. It's an updated course after COVID, and it's relevant according to the current and upcoming times. Difficulty is moderate. One needs to study thoroughly, but everything comes from the notes given by the teachers.

Other: As my particular course is a core engineering branch, it is going to be helpful in the upcoming technological world. There is better understanding of the subject by making students experience real-life scenarios and find solutions to real-world problems. Events are very rare in this college, which is definitely a minus point, but there are a lot of curricular activities like sports tournaments, hackathons, robotics, scholarships, music and singing, art, and many more.
