CSJMU Kanpur is a decent and affordable university.

Placements: Placement at CSJMU is average, with around 60 to 80% placement in technical courses. The average package is around 3 to 4 LPA with companies like TCS, Infosys, and HCL visiting the campus. Students need to focus on skill development for better opportunities. Around 60 to 75% student get placed in good batches, while others either go for higher studies or off-campus opportunities. The average package ranges between 3 and 4 LPA, while the highest package can go up to 10 to 12 LPA in some cases. Most of the companies visiting the campus are service-based companies.

Infrastructure: CSJMU has a large green campus with good infrastructure, including a library, Wi-Fi, sports facilities, and medical support. Hostel facilities are decent with basic amenities, security, and average mess food. The infrastructure is good, but it needs some improvement in modernization.

Faculty: The faculty at CSJMU is generally qualified and knowledgeable, with many teachers having good academic experience. Most teachers are helpful and supportive, although the teaching quality can vary from department to department. It has a balanced and comprehensive strong placement in 2026. It has a lush green infrastructure.

Placements: The placement season for 2026 has shown a strong recovery in core engineering and a specialised focus on AI data science. Placement statistics typically range from 85-90% in tier-1/tier-2 colleges for Computer Science and IT branches. Other branches have 100 percent placements.

Infrastructure: In most learning, technical, and management institutes today, the infrastructure is designed to be smarter and more integrated with Wi-Fi and connectivity. Most campuses now offer high-speed 5G or Wi-Fi connectivity. The mess should be changed. Students should be committed to deciding the menu. Quality is generally hygienic, but can feel repetitive.

Faculty: Faculty members' experience in engineering often fails to meet qualifications. Most tier-1 and tier-2 colleges now mandate a PhD for permanent faculty members. Senior professors obtain a BG with research, and the younger assistant professors are very approachable.

Other: I chose this college because the primary devices are high with ROI and the growing reputation of the UIT. The best thing is academic support, but faculty members are not well-qualified. However, they are supportive of students' personal growth. It is a government Institute and accredited with an A grade. It provides a recognised degree.

Review of University Institute of Engineering and Technology, CSJM University.

Placements: Approximately 80-90% of students got placed from low to high tech companies. The highest that I heard of is 12 LPA, the average is about 6 LPA, and the lowest would be from 2 to 3 LPA. Top recruiting companies are HCL, Wipro, Samsung, and one that recently visited and placed approximately 35 students for training and placement purposes is CHETANYA, which is in Noida. Internships are mainly paid that you have to do, and the college mainly offers multiple opportunities from MNCs and other tech companies, but they are paid. Major roles are placement coordinator and class representative.

Infrastructure: When I took admission in college, there was not much infrastructure and facilities present but now the scenario has changed. There are new buildings for Computer Science and AI Robotics have been developed with a lot of technologies. A high-speed Wi-Fi that covers a wider range is present everywhere on our campus. Libraries that contain all books from all the courses available in our campus, with proper seating arrangements and pin-drop silence, are also present here.

Faculty: Professors are knowledgeable and highly qualified, with a lot of experience and a helpful nature. The course curriculum is very proper. Semester exams are a little difficult, but if you do proper practice and revision of class notes, then it's not much difficult. The pass percentage is approximately 40 to 45% of the total marks of the particular subject.

Other: This college was much nearer to my campus, that's why I chose it. To be very honest, there should be much improvement needed in internship and placement opportunities. The best things about this course are the multiple subjects with the same enthusiasm you need to learn.

We have good infrastructure and teachers are well-experienced.

Placements: In my branch, 60 to 70% of students are getting placed in the current academic session. The highest package is 12 LPA, and the lowest package is 4 LPA. Most students get internships, and some students get paid internships since every year, an internship is compulsory in my course. The top offered course is software engineering at Flipkart.

Infrastructure: We have great facilities such as Wi-Fi and labs. The lab has a supercomputer. There are a total of 7 to 8 computer labs with a capacity of 100 to 150 each. All classrooms are centrally air-conditioned. Library facilities are also provided. The quality of food is good, and canteen facilities are available just in front of the academic building. OPD and a health center are also available.

Faculty: Teachers are highly experienced as well as well qualified. Teaching quality is very satisfactory. The course curriculum is relevant, and we are given DSA training 3 to 4 times a week. The pass percentage is 33 percent, and my university was awarded an A+ grade in the year 2023.

Other: I opted for this course because I am interested in Computer Science, and the campus crowd is very nice. Events and fests are held in April. National-level hackathons are also handled, like Hacksodh.

Good academic environment with scope for improvement in placements.

Placements: About 60 percent of students got placed through campus recruitment in the recent placement cycle. 12.5 LPA (approximately) is the highest package. The average package is about 3 to 3.5 LPA and the lowest package is between 1 LPA and 2 LPA. Top recruiting companies are TCS (Tata Consultancy Services), Infosys, HCL Technologies, and Samsung Electronics. 50 to 60 percent of students got internships in companies like HCL, Infosys, TCS, etc. Top roles offered are Software Developer Engineer, Trainee Engineer, Technical Support, Management Trainee, and Business Associate.

Infrastructure: All the facilities are good enough. There is a library, gym, swimming pool, track, helipad, canteen, etc., on the campus. The quality of food is below average, but it depends on the students. There is a sports tournament held every semester. There are medical facilities where anyone can get a check-up at a very low cost.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful. Teaching quality is good, as teachers are very dedicated to their teaching. Semester examinations are neither too difficult nor too easy. It is moderate level one who studies regularly 1 2 hours can get good marks for sure.

Other: I chose this course because I have a strong interest in technology, computers, and problem-solving. This course provides both theoretical knowledge and practical skills, which are essential for building a career in today's digital world. A strong foundation in core subjects improves logical and analytical thinking. Practical exposure through labs, projects, and assignments wide career opportunities in IT, private sector, and government exams. Scholarships come every year.

Students who prefer a good campus life with a low JEE rank can consider this college.

Placements: In the case of placements, the conditions are very disappointing for all branches, including core CSE and AI-related branches. I think only 40-50% of students are getting offers in CSE. In terms of CTC, we also face disappointment, as the maximum offers are around 4 to 5 LPA, even for students with 10, 9, or 8 CGPA. However, a few students beyond that are doing well. This year, a hackathon[SIH] winner is from CSJMU. Mostly, sales companies visit, which does not fulfill students' expectations.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is quite good in the college. You can compare it with IITs, NITs, and many good private colleges. Labs are also quite good, and the campus is fully Wi-Fi-connected. The library is also quite good. In the case of hostels, you can compare them with any private college. They are decent or even too good. Both AC and non-AC categories are available. Laundry facilities are also provided by the college starting this year. The canteen is also quite good. Overall, facilities are at a decent level.

Faculty: Most faculty are supportive, and some teach quite good. But if we look at the courses, they are quite old, which is not enough for this competitive era. Students also lack skills, so they fail to qualify for the companies that visit.

Other: Events – 3.5/5, campus life – 4/5, connectivity – 4/5, activities – 4/5. The only issue right now is the lack of placements, which is being faced by almost every college. Some politics can also be seen in hostels, like in the mess, but not the typical neta type.

Decent university with good faculty, satisfactory placements, and a peaceful campus life.

Placements: In my course at CSJMU, approximately 50-60 percent of students were placed through campus recruitment drives. The highest package offered was around 6 LPA, while the average package ranged between 2.5-3.5 LPA. Some of the top recruiting companies included TCS, Wipro, Infosys, HCL, and Byju's. Around 40 percent of students also got internships in companies such as Internshala, HCL, and local startups. The most common roles offered were in software development, sales and marketing, customer support and teaching assistant positions. Placement support is decent, but more company tie-ups and industry exposure would be beneficial.

Infrastructure: CSJMU has a fairly good infrastructure for academics as well as hostels. Wi-Fi is available across the campus and the labs are decently equipped. Classrooms are spacious with projectors in some departments and the library is well-stocked with academic and reference books. Hostel facilities are satisfactory with proper security, clean rooms, and a good maintenance team. The mess provides decent food, although variety can be improved. There are good medical facilities, a gym, sports grounds, and indoor games available. Overall, the campus is well-maintained and student-friendly.

Faculty: The faculty at CSJMU is experienced and supportive. Most professors are qualified and try to explain the concepts in a simple and effective manner, though the teaching style can vary from department to department. The curriculum is aligned with UGC standards and provides a basic foundation for industry but it may lack practical exposure and needs more updated content. Semester exams are moderately difficult and with consistent study, it's not hard to pass. The overall pass percentage is around 70-80 percent depending on the course and subject.

It is a good college if you have a low percentile and coming for higher studies.

Placements: Placements are decent. You can expect good placements if you yourself have given constant efforts for the whole year. Most students go for higher studies through GATE CAT. We do have some of the rankers in GATE through CSE and ECE branches of quiet.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is decent, and you can expect good facilities. There are only two hostels for boys and four for girls. The cleanliness is good, and the food is also satisfactory. The mess staff are well-behaved, and the quality is okay sometimes good, sometimes bad. A canteen is also available.

Faculty: Exams are conducted on time, and the curriculum is well-updated. The faculty is well-behaved, qualified, and knowledgeable. The curriculum is relevant to 2025, but it is not industry-rated. Semester exams depend on the student, and several industry-related seminars are held in the auditorium.
