UPTTI Kanpur is a top textile and engineering institute you should know about.
Placements: First of all, we don't have any information regarding the placement of the CSE branch since it was established only last year. We will get an idea about placements once our batch begins receiving job offers. I hope that the placement faculty and the HOD will reach out to companies regarding internships. We also don't have any information about internships, but some students are making the right efforts to secure on-campus internships. In the textile branch, there is an 85 to 100% placement.
Infrastructure: Since this college was established in 1914, it has some older buildings that are in disrepair, but many new buildings have been constructed. Classrooms are well furnished with smart boards and comfortable seating arrangements. Wi-Fi is available 24/7 across the whole campus, and you have access to all labs and libraries during working hours. Our college has a small canteen that is open to students during these hours. The hostel facilities are quite good compared to other state engineering colleges in UP. You are free to play any game at any time, although medical facilities could be better.
Faculty: Many teachers are highly qualified from IIT Delhi and are very knowledgeable in their subjects. Teachers are really helpful and understand your problems, and the teaching quality is good. In the textile field, they prepare students to be industry-ready. Semester exams are not very tough in college. If you work hard and study diligently, your percentage will be 8.5 to 9 and above. If you are an irregular student, it may be around 6.5 to 7.
Other: The good part of this college is that you get most of the time for yourself. You can build anything and learn anything. The main reason for choosing this college is that it is located in the main city, the fees are not high, and scholarships are available. Cultural and sports events are held annually, though the campus crowd is average in quality.

You can take admission, college is good, but you have to do hard work for placement in the CSE batch
Placements: I'm not sure about placement for my batch because I am a student of the first batch of CSE, which started in the 2024-25 season. However, according to past placement records, the college is very good for textile batches (Textile Technology, Textile Engineering, Textile Chemistry, and Man-Made Fibre Technology).
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available in hostels and on campus. A computer lab is also available, but it requires modification because too old systems are available and some systems are not working properly. Classrooms are good, and smartboards are also available in almost every classroom. The library is very good. The hostel is well-maintained, and a mess is also available. Mess charges for 2024-25 are 3400 per month, and if you have any genuine issue, you can leave the mess with the help of faculty members or the hostel warden; that money will be deducted from your mess charges.
Faculty: Faculty in our college is good and too supportive in any type of matter, with most faculty members being highly qualified. I have already said, CSE is a new branch in this college, so students have to work hard to get placed or internships, but if you are a little serious about studies, you can easily pass semester exams.
Other: Events are too limited and not very good, the college should work on this for students' overall development. And mostly, students get UP Scholarship.

Great infrastructure, good faculty members, and excellent placement record.
Placements: Around 95% of students get placed in my course. The highest package is around 18 lac per annum and the lowest package is 3.75 lac per annum offered in my course. Top recruiters are Trident, reliance, Vardhaman, etc. 100% of students get an internship from my course in the above-mentioned company. The top roles often are of course production manager, quality assistant, marketing merchandising, and many more.
Infrastructure: The department has Wi-Fi, smart classrooms, well-equipped labs, and a resourceful library. The hostel offers furnished rooms, Wi-Fi, and security. The hostel provides hygienic food and the canteen serves snacks. The medical facility includes a health center sports facilities in Indore and outdoor games with the gym.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified, knowledgeable, and supportive, teaching quality is good with a mix of theory and practical, both curricula are relevant. They provide the internship and project. Semester exams are moderately tough but manageable with preparation. The pass percentage is generally around 90%.
Other: The course offers a practical learning experience. Faculty and industry input is needed for syllabus updates and increased exposure. The campus should prioritize clubs and sports while maintaining a pleasant environment. Good connectivity is essential, and protecting the surroundings supports students.

The highest package in our college is 18 Lacs per annum, the average package is 5 to 6 Lacs, & the lowest package is around 3 Lacs per annum. Infrastructure: Comfortable seating and a well-designed layout can help students concentrate. Labs are well-maintained and can inspire students to be enthusiastic about experiments and turn theoretical learning into practical outcomes. Research and tutorial blocks—these areas can provide a space for students to interact.

12 LPA is the highest package, 3.5 LPA is the lowest and 6 LPA is the average package. Trident, Reliance, Raymond, GBTL, RSWM, Sintex yarn, Vardhman, Bhilosa, etc. are the top recruiters.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi facility, good infrastructure, classrooms are very clean and smart board are provided for lectures. The hostel is also good and the food quality is okay—not that good. The medical facility is nice.
There are some fun sports and game activities available for students to enjoy in their free time.
Faculty: The teachers at UPTTI are super knowledgeable and dedicated, providing top-notch education and guidance to students. They really make learning enjoyable and engaging. The textile engineering course at UPTTI is highly curriculum-relevant. The institute ensures that the course content is up-to-date and aligned with industry standards to equip students with the necessary skills and knowledge for a successful career in the field of textile engineering. The curriculum is designed to meet the current demands of the industry and prepare students effectively for the workforce. Above 33% is the pass percentage .
Other: I chose the textile field because I find it fascinating to learn about fabrics, materials, and the process of creating different types of clothing and textiles. There are so many aspects to explore within the textile industry, from design to production methods. It's a field that combines creativity with technical skills, and I'm excited to delve deeper into it. Improving textile courses with more hands-on experience, industry exposure, sustainability focus, and technology integration would make the learning experience more enriching and practical. Events, campus crowd and scholarships are offered.
