UPTTI Kanpur is a top textile and engineering institute you should know about.
Placements: First of all, we don't have any information regarding the placement of the CSE branch since it was established only last year. We will get an idea about placements once our batch begins receiving job offers. I hope that the placement faculty and the HOD will reach out to companies regarding internships. We also don't have any information about internships, but some students are making the right efforts to secure on-campus internships. In the textile branch, there is an 85 to 100% placement.
Infrastructure: Since this college was established in 1914, it has some older buildings that are in disrepair, but many new buildings have been constructed. Classrooms are well furnished with smart boards and comfortable seating arrangements. Wi-Fi is available 24/7 across the whole campus, and you have access to all labs and libraries during working hours. Our college has a small canteen that is open to students during these hours. The hostel facilities are quite good compared to other state engineering colleges in UP. You are free to play any game at any time, although medical facilities could be better.
Faculty: Many teachers are highly qualified from IIT Delhi and are very knowledgeable in their subjects. Teachers are really helpful and understand your problems, and the teaching quality is good. In the textile field, they prepare students to be industry-ready. Semester exams are not very tough in college. If you work hard and study diligently, your percentage will be 8.5 to 9 and above. If you are an irregular student, it may be around 6.5 to 7.
Other: The good part of this college is that you get most of the time for yourself. You can build anything and learn anything. The main reason for choosing this college is that it is located in the main city, the fees are not high, and scholarships are available. Cultural and sports events are held annually, though the campus crowd is average in quality.

You will have a substantial amount of free time at this college, allowing you to contribute to your personal development.
Other: The main thing for choosing this college is because this college is in the Main city and the feels are also not very high and you will get much and more time for yourself, in which you can do valuable work which will be impressive. The main thing is you will get a guaranteed scholarship from the U.P. government at this college. Cultural and sports events are held annually, though the campus crowd is average in quality.

You can take admission, college is good, but you have to do hard work for placement in the CSE batch
Placements: I'm not sure about placement for my batch because I am a student of the first batch of CSE, which started in the 2024-25 season. However, according to past placement records, the college is very good for textile batches (Textile Technology, Textile Engineering, Textile Chemistry, and Man-Made Fibre Technology).
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available in hostels and on campus. A computer lab is also available, but it requires modification because too old systems are available and some systems are not working properly. Classrooms are good, and smartboards are also available in almost every classroom. The library is very good. The hostel is well-maintained, and a mess is also available. Mess charges for 2024-25 are 3400 per month, and if you have any genuine issue, you can leave the mess with the help of faculty members or the hostel warden; that money will be deducted from your mess charges.
Faculty: Faculty in our college is good and too supportive in any type of matter, with most faculty members being highly qualified. I have already said, CSE is a new branch in this college, so students have to work hard to get placed or internships, but if you are a little serious about studies, you can easily pass semester exams.
Other: Events are too limited and not very good, the college should work on this for students' overall development. And mostly, students get UP Scholarship.
