The worst college for engineering.

Placements: There are no camps interview programmes at Vandayar Engineering College. They started engineering in 2013, and till the last year, there was no campus interview conducted. Even there is no internship programme conducted for any of the batches. If we try to get permission for the internship, they will not provide permission. From 2013 to till today, none of the students got internship and job by the institution.

Infrastructure: There are no enough lab facilities. Computer lab doesn't have enough computers, each system is shared by 2 or 3 students. Chemistry lab is not properly setup. There is no separate physics lab. Civil students of 2014 batch struggled a lot because of no proper lab instruments. There is no proper road inside the college. The worst hostel is provided.

Faculty: Only some of the teachers were qualified enough to be a professor. Most of them don't have a proper experience. They were unable to provide clear information about the subjects and not able to clear the students' doubts. The college is not even known to anyone outside the Thanjavur. No college day or convocation held here. Till today, they were collecting extra money to handover the degree certificates.

Other: There is no Wi-Fi facility, no proper food for hostel students, no fan in most of the classrooms, no sports, and no events conducted in the college. No scholarship is provided to the students, even if the government provides the scholarships, they will keep the money for one year, and then, they will provide to the concerned students. Apart from poor education, nothing is provided there.
