Review of Vasant Kanya Mahavidyalaya.

Placements: Placements happen mostly for professional courses like management, IT, and commerce. For arts and pure Science students, there are fewer chances. The placement cell tries to guide students with training and workshops, but many prefer to continue their studies or write exams for government jobs.

Faculty: Teachers are supportive and simply explain lessons. They also share notes and sometimes discuss topics outside the syllabus. Regular attendance helps, as teachers often give important hints in class. Exams are fair and can be managed with steady study.

Other: Nice.

For study, this is a good college, and the quality of education is good.

Placements: In this college, placement is not at all. So I suggested not to expect any type of placement. For studying, this college is good, but rather than that, don't have any expectations from this college. So, it depends on you what matters to you, and overall, it is good for studying, you can choose this college.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure of this college is good. There are two buildings in this college. First one is an old building, and second is a new building. Graduation courses are mostly run in old building, but sometimes some classes are also shifted to new building. Library is also available for study.

Faculty: Professors are all good, they have knowledge. And most of the teachers are not qualified. If you have any doubts, they are also solved in this course. There are a total of 6 semesters, and the exam is divided into two parts, one of which is internal and the other is external. Internal is 30 marks, and external is 70 marks.

Other: This course has enough opportunities for career options, just because this course is underrated, competition is less, but I request my faculty about this course, that they should use PPT. To be honest, events and fests are disappointing.

Overall, the college is good. One can take admission here.

Placements: There are 60 students enrolled in this course. Students get placed in decent colleges. I am not aware of the packages that students receive. Career options include museum curator, scholar, professor, and many more. Other opportunities are also available, and one can also appear for government exams after this.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, and library facilities are all available in this college. The canteen and mess food are similar to those in other colleges. Medical facilities are available. Sports facilities are also present, but the sports curriculum is not as much as in other colleges.

Faculty: Teachers are top-notch and have good knowledge to pass on. The course is relevant as it connects us with our past. Semester exams are moderate and not very difficult. Previous year questions help a lot in the exams. The passing percentage is 33%, combining both internal and external exams.

Other: This course is good for someone who is interested in learning about the past. A good lab is needed, and practical knowledge could also be improved. Extracurricular activities are good on the college campus.

All facilities in our college are good.

Placements: My course is AIHC and Archaeology. Internship programs are also in our college with the help of different companies and other sources. The percentage of students who get internships is also high. Through internships, students are able to earn some money for their own use.

Infrastructure: Different types of facilities are available in our college. It has a library, computer labs, and a seminar hall for various programs. Wi-Fi is also available. The infrastructure is good. The quality of food available in the college canteen is also good.

Faculty: Teachers are very helpful in our college. All teachers are knowledgeable. They give the right information regarding any subject, after understanding the material from teachers and through self-study. Students easily pass the semester exams in college.

Other: I chose the course AIHC and Archaeology because I want to learn about the ancient life of humans. Some projector facilities need to be developed in the college for a better understanding of our course. Different types of scholarships are provided in our college. Various events are also organized in our college, which help develop students’ connectivity with people.

Satisfied with the college faculty, infrastructure and facilities.

Placements: As the college do provide internship for the students but there was negligible amount of placement as there was only arts and social sciences courses available there which has minimum rate all over the country. No such company visit our college. But overall the college is good as the teachers are very well qualified and experienced .

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of college is good there's facility of Wi-Fi, labs, clean classrooms with smartboard and library. There's also an affordable canteen for the students. Sports and games facilities are also available. There are over 4-5 hostels of college too which provides proper safety to the girls too. The hostels mess are also very good.

Faculty: Teachers are very well qualified in there field. They give their best in providing quality education to the students. If I talk about my course then definitely it doesn't make students industry ready as the courses of arts are not skill based. But this course is relevant in developing students career options in teaching and government sector jobs. If I talk about semester exam then it's medium difficult. Anyone can pass in semester exam if they had studied well in class as the teachers are really good. 80-90% of students pass in semester exams.

Other: My honours was Aihc & archaeology and I chose it because of my deep interest in this field. I don't think any major thing is there to improve in my course. There's also various events held in my college like sarjana also various sports events. There are various clubs of different department who play a great role in organizing various events too.

I am dissatisfied with the infrastructure, facilities, and the good faculty.

Placements: In my course, i.e., AIHC and Archeology, there are no placements. No one got placed in my batch, and students only got the facility to do internships by the college or by other institutions. The internship is mainly for learning, and it is not paid.

Infrastructure: Firstly, the infrastructure of my course is average. Only some classrooms are equipped with projectors and other facilities. Otherwise, they are very normal. The library is good, but there are no computers. The hostel facilities are very good. Rooms, washrooms, and mess are well-maintained. The quality of food is also good.

Faculty: Teachers are mainly PhD holders, some are professors, and some are assistant professors. They teach in a bilingual language, and most of them are helpful. The course provides extra activities like debates and quizzes. Semester exams are quite easy with a very low pass percentage.

Other: The best thing about my course is that it provides deep insight into historical things. There is a lot of work to do on the infrastructure of the campus, and classrooms should be computer-based.

Placements: There is no actual placement, though they have a placement cell. However, I don't think anybody gets placed. Students get local internships, but there is no stipend, and they are not even relevant to the course. They are just some social work. No big companies come for recruitment despite the large number of students studying here.

Infrastructure: They say the whole campus is under Wi-Fi, but it's not true. Classrooms are often cleaned, but only the floors and tables remain dusty. We have labs for the department, although they are not very well-equipped. In the library, you’re sometimes lucky if you find the book you want. Hostels are fine but not very good. The food is below average, the canteen is dirty, and the prices keep increasing. We have a sports meet once a year. The rest of the year, they don't care about the ground or the equipment.

Faculty: The curriculum is good and vast. Teachers and professors are good and teach thoroughly. They are also kind, supportive, and highly qualified. Examinations are moderately difficult. The pass percentage is 40. Sometimes the paper is out of the syllabus, especially for final year students.

Other: There are no fests, events, connectivity, or extracurricular activities.
