Overall, it is good a college. The environment is adorable, and the staff is very friendly.

Placements: For our batch, only one company came that too finance company Shree Ram Group. The placement officer strived hard, but at that time, the market was so low for mechanical, but we were possible to attend Tata consultancy services off-campus drive held in Hubli. As per my knowledge, our juniors got more placement opportunities compared to us.

Infrastructure: The Wi-Fi facility is available near the premises of library and reception. The labs for the mechanical department are very good and fully ventilated, also have all required equipment and machines. Volleyball and Kabbadi court is there near to hostel, and the zym is available with all the facilities. The sports master is expert in wrestling and is a very enthusiastic person. The classrooms are good. The campus is famous for greenery. The coupon based canteen will be ready to welcome you with special Mangalore buns, chapati, and puri. The hostel of Haliyal is a heaven.

Faculty: All are senior staff for the mechanical department and are very much expertise in their specific domain. All are very friendly. There are no hard and fast rules for anything. The faculty are so helpful that they will work with us in completing the academic project till the last submission. Some guys are from IIT. They adopted a practical methodology for the teaching. The ratio of student to faculty is around 40:1.

Other: The college is somewhat in outskirts of the city Haliyal, so it's difficult to manage in any medical emergencies though there was a doctor for pre-treatment. Management is requested to provide more food facilities (different canteens for fast food). Hope it will be good if they provide a vehicle connection from the city to a college for any official work.

No placements but good college life

Placements: There were no placements in college for mechanical students. I can say the placements are very weak here. The placement officer is busy in bringing the leaders to motivate students rather than making the students employable. I can say there are few companies which came for CS and circuit branches, but for mechanical, we need to either opt for pool campus drives or search for a job after engineering.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is okay, not like fantastic but the campus is nature-friendly. Our mechanical branch is having a separate building. The campus is surrounded by thick greenery and the college is located in a beautiful place. Near the college, there were many tourist attractions where we can hang out. The stress level will be very less as the surroundings are so beautiful. Nature is the main thing here. The college is having good lab facility and canteen and mess are also quite good. Finally, this is a good campus.

Faculty: I am a student of the mechanical branch and the faculty team is good. Lecturers are friendly and helpful. Their teaching is also good and they will help you out in discovering something. Any doubt we ask our faculty people, they are ready to help.Sometimes, they help you out in choosing a career path and make you feel confident. The faculty team is truly deserving without a second thought.

Other: Ours is by name Royal Mech and we enjoyed a lot during college days. The college campus recruitment is too low but believe me, you will learn a lot of things over here. The life over here is awesome, so I cannot say go at any cost but I would say like "give it a try" if you don't have any other option.
