WIIA is the first and only DGCA approved A.M.E. college in Gujarat.
Placements: From my senior batch, 24 students out of 30 got placed in airlines like Goair, Air India, Indigo, etc. Currently, I am appearing for my last semester of the 2019 batch. Because of lockdown, the practical training was delayed my dream to got placed in Qatar Airways as you all know this airline is the best worldwide.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good. The environment of college is also very good. Hostel infrastructure is best. The warden is very helpful to students. If you are suffering from any problem, he is there for you always and they provide hygienic food.
Faculty: The exam paper is hard and if you want to clear it then you have to study hard. Faculty members are very helpful. Whenever you need them, they are there for you. You have to clear all 11 modules for mechanical to get your licence of A.M.E. You can experience live work on aircraft in your training period provided by the college.
Other: There's a Boeing 737-200 on campus which provides the best experience to you.

Review of Western India Institute of Aeronautics Pvt. Ltd.
Placements: There is absolutely no help for placements and no campus placements. After the course is completed, they will delay the process of giving all the required certificates because, even if you want to try somewhere on your own, it becomes very difficult. They won't even attend your calls or give you proper answers, they just keep giving reasons and there is absolutely no cooperation from their side. In spite of paying so much, no appropriate certificate was provided for the training that we had done at an MRO, and no proper mention of the training period was made on the final mark sheet or transcript.
Infrastructure: Our college has a good infrastructure. They have air-conditioned classrooms with projectors and a proper tool store, though some tools are always missing and unavailable. Hostels are very costly as compared to the services they provide. It almost costs Rs. 10,000 per month for non-air-conditioned rooms. No laundry services are provided. The housekeeping service is good; they clean rooms and washrooms on a daily basis.
Faculty: Exams are conducted in a timely manner. They only teach for exams and from a limited number of books. The syllabus is being taught a couple of times, and some chapters are not even being taught just because they won't be asked during the exam. Faculty members are qualified.
Other: The university has a very good campus but poor connectivity since it is located very far away from the city.

The college is great, and the course we are studying is quite interesting.
Placements: Almost 40% of the students got placed in our course, and the rest of the students opt for further studies in foreign. The highest salary package offered is 2.5 LPA, the lowest salary package offered is 1.2 LPA, and the average salary package offered is 1.8 LPA. With years of experience, seniors of AME can get a salary package of up to 36 LPA. Top recruiting companies of our college are Air India, Go Air, Indigo, Vistara, Taj Airways and many others. Almost 100% of the students got internships in Taj Airways Mumbai. Top roles offered to the students are aircraft maintenance engineer, senior AME base maintenance manager and line maintenance manager.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure are good. There are 2 and 3 sharing rooms in the hostel. The quality of the food is average, but medical facilities are available. Sports and games are played normally, and inter-college championships and tournaments are played once a year.
Faculty: Faculty members are well-qualified and have great knowledge about the subjects they are teaching. This course curriculum is relevant, and it makes students industry-ready. For our branch, semester exams are a bit tough with a passing percentage of 75%.
Other: I always wish to fly high in the sky, and since we are the only person responsible for fixing the aircraft to make people fly, I have chosen this course. Our campus provides the experience of the larger aircraft, which is available on campus B737-200. Fests and various events are organised once a year in which the whole college participates.
