NIFT Placements - The placement process for the NIFTs is conducted in TWO phases. Phase 1 of the placement process is organized in April-May and is conducted online. Meanwhile, Phase 2 is held in June and will be held in either online or offline mode. Speaking of salary package, graduates from a top NIFT, say NIFT Kolkata or NIFT Delhi, can expect an average salary package upwards of 5 lakh per annum. In contrast, graduates from NIFT Bengaluru may get an offer of 3 lakh per annum or more. The NIFTs are among the top design institutes in the country, and so they are a hot destination for companies looking to hire designers, creative managers, and tech-savvy fashion professionals. Students who have completed or are pursuing their B.Des, B.F.Tech, M.Des, MFM, and B.F.Tech degrees can participate in the NIFT placement process. - Centralized placement process - The National Institute of Fashion Technology will conduct the placement process through a centralized process.
- Companies will recruit students through TWO routes: 1) Campus Placement and 2) Pre-placement offers (PPO). These routes are facilitated by the institute.
Campus placement
In this process, participating companies get registered to participate in the placement process. The company may conduct campus placement through online or on-campus mode.
Pre-placement offers (PPO)
Using this route, companies may extend job offers to students before the campus placement. If the student accepts the offer, it is considered a job placement. Note that candidates who accept an offer during pre-placement aren’t allowed to participate in the campus placement.
Basis of pre-placement offers (PPO)
An organization (or company) will extend PPOs on the basis of internships/training/ projects undertaken by the student with the organization.

Q. When is the NIFT 2025 placement process conducted?
A. The placement process for the NIFTs is conducted in two phases.
