NIFT Placements - The placement process for the NIFTs is conducted in TWO phases. Phase 1 of the placement process is organized in April-May and is conducted online. Meanwhile, Phase 2 is held in June and will be held in either online or offline mode. - Centralized placement process - The National Institute of Fashion Technology will conduct the placement process through a centralized process.
- Companies will recruit students through TWO routes: 1) Campus Placement and 2) Pre-placement offers (PPO). These routes are facilitated by the institute.
Campus placement
In this process, participating companies get registered to participate in the placement process. The company may conduct campus placement through online or on-campus mode.
Pre-placement offers (PPO)
Using this route, companies may extend job offers to students before the campus placement. If the student accepts the offer, it is considered a job placement. Note that candidates who accept an offer during pre-placement aren’t allowed to participate in the campus placement.
Basis of pre-placement offers (PPO)
An organization (or company) will extend PPOs on the basis of internships/training/ projects undertaken by the student with the organization.
