With Manav Rachna Educational Institutions (MREI) conducting its 4th annual technical festival ‘INNOSKILL 2017 on April 3 and 4, the excitement at the campus seems to be at its peak. The innovation festival is celebrated every year on the eve of Founder’s Day celebrations and features mind-blowing gadgets, robots and tech shows.

The earlier editions of the fest gave students an opportunity to showcase their talent to top notch corporate houses. Packed with a plethora of events and activities, Innoskill promises a handful of prizes and accolades.

Project Competitions

Through Project Competitions, INNOSKILL 2017 will give young innovators a chance to showcase their products and share their ideas. SRIJAN, a project demonstration competition for the youth, would giveaway  loads of happening prizes to its winners.

Through Digital Bharat, students will be able to pitch their projects in areas such as the Internet Of Things (IOT), Environment & Healthcare, Mobility, Energy Management, Automation, Building Resilience and Technology for Rural areas.

For students with big ideas, TECHSOL will be the apt competition. Open to all, this one is for students who have remarkable technology ideas or venture concepts to create a better Environment.

Besides this, Untangle The Muddle promises excitement unlimited. This competition would test a student’s problem solving skills. The best three entries would be the winner of the competition.

Last but not the least, Techno Vogue- Fashion Show would raise the style quotient with  students showcasing their style with technical spice.

Skill Corner

This corner is designed to give participants a practical experience of various skill based activities in a short span of time.

Other Competitions

This is one segment which will have a wide array of interesting options. The gaming event will witness Mini Militia, Counter Strike and FIFA games.

Line Follower Robot Competition will too be one of the features of the fest. Here, participants will develop an autonomous line following robot. The team with the exact path following, least time and better design would win the coveted prize. The event will involve concepts of electronics, computer science and mechanical engineering.

A simulated Sumo match will also in the pipeline with Robo Sumo where two robots would compete in a head-to-head match. The Robots will have a fight out without weapons and they would not be allowed to flip each other. The Robo mania would further manifest itself through Robo Race where the aim of the challenge would be to make a wired or wireless controlled robot/rover that can travel through different terrains and complete the track in minimum time.

Each team will be given a chance to test run their robot. Students’ competitive spirit would also be tested through a Water Rocket Challenge where students would be required to build a rocket powered with water or air or a combination that has a maximum time of flight. Each team must also build a rocket launcher which can launch the rocket at an angle or different angles.

Workshops

INNOSKILL 2017 will provide a platform for tech enthusiasts to attend workshops in the emerging areas of Engineering. These workshops would be conducted with the help of Manav Rachna’s knowledge partners and the various Centres of Excellence with a view of connecting industry with academia. While an Automation Workshop will be conducted by Mitsubishi, a Two Wheeler Workshop will have Honda at the forefront. Besides this, workshops on Green Energy, Cybersecurity, E-waste management, Robotics and 3D Printing promises to open up new vistas of learning.

Tech Shows

Through Tech shows, students will be privy to Metal Laser Cutting Machine, Artificial Intelligence, 3D Printing, Advanced Infrared Technology and Quantum Computing Technology. All these would enable students to explore hitherto unexplored areas. Also on display would be Startups and other Projects by Manav Rachna Innovation & Incubation Centre.

Yes, Manav Rachna University campus is safe for girls and boys. The college campus is located in center of Faridabad. It has a good connection with roads and public transports. CCTV cameras are installed in the campus to keep a check on students safety.
