Manipal Institute of Technology, also known as MIT Manipal currently offers UG & PG courses in the stream of Engineering and Computer Applications. These courses are BTech, MTech and MCA. All the courses at MIT Manipal are offered under several specialisations. Admissions to all the programmes are conducted under the guidance of the Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE). The Institute conducts a Manipal Entrance Test MET in three phases every year for admission to all its UG & PG courses, except for MCA. In addition to this, it also accepts GATE scores for MTech programme.

While not having personally attended Ramaiah Institute of Technology and Management a few key points found in honest student reviews are:

• Placements: Around 85-90% of students were placed in the ECE branch with the highest and the lowest packages of INR 50 LPA and INR 7.6 LPA, respectively. Karnatak Lingayat Education Technological University (KLETU) located in Hubballi-Dharwad, Karnataka. In 2015 it got the status of State Private University and was renamed KLE Technological University. KLE Technology University is affiliated with the Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi and is accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA). KLE Technological University is recognised by AICTE. According to the NIRF 2024 ranking, the institute is ranked among the 150-200 in the 'Overall' category.

For Bachelor of Technology (BTech) programme, aspirants are offered admission based on JEE Main score. Hoewever, for BSc programme admission,  JEE is not compulsory. 1. The *KCET (Karnataka Common Entrance Test)* KCET is a single entrance test for admission to a variety of professional degrees in Karnataka, including engineering. It is administered by the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA).

2. *COMEDK UGET:* The Undergraduate Entrance Test (UGET), another entrance test approved by UVCE for engineering admissions, is administered by the Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK).

The UVCE and other engineering institutions in Karnataka are ranked and admission eligibility is usually determined by these entrance tests. The specific admission examinations that are allowed may change depending on the rules and regulations of the college for that particular academic year.

 

In Dr. Ambedkar Institute of technology, there is a separate hostel for boys and girls. For a four-sharing hostel room, they cost around 92-94k per year with attached bathroom in it. Without attached bathroom, they cost around 83k per year. For rooms with 3 sharing, it costs nearly one Lacs per year for a student. This includes everything from food, mattress and Wi-Fi, etc.
