At the undergraduate level, MSRIT offers four-year BTech and five-year  MTech, to students. Admission to all the programs offered at the University is entrance-based. Admission to Bachelor of Engineering program is based on KCET/ COMEDK UGET/ JEE Main exam, Bachelor of Architecture admission is based on NATA exam. The qualifying exams for admission to Master of Engineering is Karnataka PGCET/ GATE. Candidate must clear Karnataka PGCET exam for admission to Master of Computer of Application.

JSS Science and Technology University Admission is done on the basis of entrance exams, Karnataka PGCET, MAT, KMAT, for admission to its PG courses. Before applying, candidates have  to qualify the eligibility criteria: Bachelor's Degree with minimum 50% aggregate. If candidates are eligible they can apply to their desired by folloeing the University's admission process.

2. *COMEDK UGET:* The Undergraduate Entrance Test (UGET), another entrance test approved by UVCE for engineering admissions, is administered by the Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK).

The UVCE and other engineering institutions in Karnataka are ranked and admission eligibility is usually determined by these entrance tests. The specific admission examinations that are allowed may change depending on the rules and regulations of the college for that particular academic year.
