It will be very difficult to predict the exact level of difficultly of the special July exam paper of the FMGE. But according to the historical performance, the FMGE is likely to be moderate to hard exam. Elements such as the extensive syllabus, concentration on clinical and concept related questions and the unpredictability of the paper are some of the factors that make the paper reputably the most problematic. Here are some mistakes which you should avoid as an applicant of FMGE exam 2025:

  • Overthinking tough questions: Don't get stuck in a question. Leave it for a moment and come back later if time allows.
  • Poor time management: Balance your exam time wisely across all sections of the FMGE.
  • Last minute cramming: Focus on revision and MCQ practice only. Do not start new topics.
  • Stressing over unpredictable questions: Prioritize core concepts and high-yield subjects.

There is no restriction on the number of attempts. Students can appear for FMGE exam as many time as they want and until they pass. This allows candidates to improve their preparation without any official attempt cap.

Indian students who have pursued medical education from abroad & wish to practice in India, must clear the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE) in India.

It is a medical licensing exam for foreign medical graduates, conducted by the National Board of Examination (NBE) to assess student's skills & medical knowledge.
