Mystory@Nishant Bhatt: How I selected my course and made my career

I chose Science stream after Class 10th. I got a good second division. Then I studied BA (Honors) in Shivaji College, University of Delhi. After that I studied and passed post-graduation from Meerut University (now known as Chaudhary Charan Singh University). Then I took admission in postgraduate diploma in Personnel Management and Industrial Relations and got first division. I was first in the entire class. Then I did Bachelor's degree in Library Science from IGNOU and got first division. I spent some time studying typing and shorthand at Prakash coaching centre, Shakti Nagar, Delhi. Then I passed diploma in Desktop Publishing from APTECH.

I did these courses because I felt that a higher level of study and two or three professional courses are essential. With the blessing of my parents and well-wishers I passed in all these courses. If fate had been on my side, I would have become a Pilot or a Chartered Accountant.

I chose the right career for myself as an Insurance Agent. It is freelance and profitable as one meets new people and gains experience. But it would have been better if I had been selected in Airforce. I think that where there is a will there is a way. One must obey his parents, teachers and elders and have faith in oneself. I admit that I changed courses but the same education was felt boring by me and I wished to gain a vast knowledge. The thing that worked for me was devotion to my parents, well-wishers, teachers, and books which gave me knowledge. One should have faith in oneself and do hard work and practice what one reads. One should respect his elders and do both a selective intensive study and wide extensive study as well.
