Jamia Millia Islamia BA & BA (Hons) Eligibility & Highlights 2025
Jamia Millia Islamia offers three-year BA and BA (Hons) programmes at the UG level. The BA (Hons) programme is available across 18 specialisations. Admission to Jamia Millia Islamia for BA and BA (Hons) is subject to either CUET (conducted by NTA) or JMI Entrance Exam. Till 2021, admission was subject to the JMI entrance exam across all specialisations. However, starting 2022, admission to a few BA (Hons) specialisations was CUET-based and for the rest, it is university-level entrance-based.

Hostel fee at JMI is around INR 30,950 for 6 months. This includes INR 15,350 for accomodation and other charges and INR 15,600 for mess charges. Hostel fee may differ for boys and girls.
The full form of CUET is Central University Entrance Test which is an all-India level entrance exam conducted by NTA for admission to undergraduate courses offered in various participating colleges. Candidates have to apply online to appear in JMI Entrance Exam. The application forms are released on the official website of JMI. Candidates have to first create an account by filling their basic details and then fill the detailed application form, select their course, upload required documents and pay the application fee. The registration window usually remains open for a month.
The mode of Jamia Millia Islamia course admissions is online. Admission to various undergraduate and postgraduate courses is based on merit and scores of entrance tests. At the undergraduate level, the university offers four-year BTech, three-year BCom, BBA, and other courses to students. At the postgraduate level, the university provides a two-year MBA, MCA, and various other courses to students. Jamia Millia Islamia University also offers distance learning, PhD, and various other courses to students. Currently admissions are ongoing. Students must also check the JMI Cutoff 2023 expected & previous year cut off and prepare accordingly for admission.
Aspiring students are required to register on the official website of JMI and fill the application form online. At Jamia Millia Islamia, self-financed MBA course is not subsidised by the government. Admitted students need to bear the full-cost of such a programme. Regular MBA is subsidised by the government.
