Q:   How can I get admission in Jamia Millia Islamia?

Students wanting admission at Jamia Milia Islamia need to register on the website of CUET and fill out the application form online. In the form, fill in all the details asked, upload the required documents and pay the application fee. For BA, BSc and BVoc, JMI accepts the scores of CUET UG. Then, students need to register themselves for the counselling.

  • Apply for CSAS Counselling to get a seat in any of DU-affiliated colleges
  • university releases DU CSAS Seat Allocation Lists for all categories. If candidates are satisfied with assigned college and course, they can freeze request through their dashboard
  • Once candidates 'Accept' provisionally allocated seat, concerned college verifies their eligibility and documents uploaded
  • Once DU-affiliated college accords approval, selected candidates must submit 'Admission Fee' to confirm their admission

Yes, students can appear for UPSC civil services examination after completing their Criminology subject course. For eligibility in UPSC examination, students must at least complete their graduation such as BA or BSc Criminology from a recognised university of India.

UPSC is one of the toughest examinations in India and requires qualification in all three stages that is Prelims, Mains and Interview. Students need at least 6 months to 1 year to properly prepare for UPSC exam.

Q:   What are the cutoff marks for Vimala College?
A: 

For Undergraduate Courses:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics must be at least 85% in Physics and Chemistry, and in Botany or Zoology, it must be at least 75% and 80%, respectively. At least 70% in the 12th  for BCom, at least 70% in the 12th for  BA. For BA English -12th boards.

For Pg Courses:

  • MSc English - Minimum 50% in B.Com for MCom, Minimum 60% in BSc for MSc Mathematics,   Minimum 55% in BSc for MSc Physics, Minimum of 65% in BSc for  MSc Chemistry, and Minimum 50% in BA for  MA English.
    Moreover, qualifying cutoff scores from different admission tests, such as the CUCET, KMAT, etc., may also be applicable.

Both MGU and Calicut University are popular universities in Kerala. In the NIRF 2023 rankings, MG University leads Calicut on 31st spot and the latter has secured 70th position.  Hence, ranking-wise MGU is a better option. However, the course fee is more economical at the Calicut University. MGU MA fees range between INR 1,900 and INR 1.8 Lacs and at Calicut University, the MA fee range from INR 950 to INR 82,500. Q:   What entrance exam scores does Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit accept for admission to MA?
A: 

Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit (SSUS) accepts entrance exam scores for admission to MA programs. The university also conducts aptitude and practical tests for some programs. 

For the academic year 2023-2024, the university conducted the entrance exam in April or May. The following programs were available:
