Andhra Pradesh Law Common Entrance Test (AP LAWCET) is a state-level entrance exam which is likely to be conducted in May/June 2026 at the designated centres across the state and nearby cities. AP LAWCET 2026 and AP PGLCET 2026 will be conducted in a multiple-choice question-based mode. 

Q:   What is the date of AP LAWCET 2026 exam?
A:

The AP LAWCET 2026 exam is likely to be held in May 2026. The exam date will be released in the AP LAWCET 2025 Notification. Candidates will be able to know the exam date along with the other schedule through the official notification to be released in the APSCHE official website. The interested candidates will have to register online for the exam using their registered email ID and password. The registered candidates will be issued the the hall ticket to sit for the exam.

Q:   When will the Andhra Pradesh LAWCET 2026 exam be held?
A:

The Andhra Pradesh LAWCET 2026 exam is expected to be conducted in June 2026. The Andhra Pradesh LAWCET 2026 examination will be conducted in computer-based test mode (CBT) (online). However, candidates need to visit the exam centre to take the Andhra Pradesh LAWCET exam 2026. All details related to the exam centre will be available on their exam admit card. The AP LAWCET 2026 admit card will be released 7-10 days before the exam date. Candidates need to carry specific documents, including four copies of their passport-size photo, a printed copy of their Andhra Pradesh LAWCET admit card (one more copy for backup), and an original copy of their photo ID proof, such as an Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, or Passport.

Candidates will have to answer the 120 questions based on General Knowledge and Mental Ability, Current Affairs, and Aptitude for the Study of Law.

AP LAWCET/ PGLCET 2026 Exam Day Guidelines

Follow the exam day guidelines as mentioned below for a hassle-free exam day:

  • Reach the Exam Hall at least one hour before the exam commences: Candidates must reach the AP LAWCET/ PGLCET exam hall at least an hour before the exam commences. This will help candidates to smoothly enter the exam hall and find their seating space. Having ample time in hand also allows candidates to avoid the last-minute rush.
  • Carry your AP LAWCET Admit Card 2026: On the day of the exam, the authorities check the admit card to ensure the proper onboarding of candidates. Do not forget to bring the AP LAWCET admit card to the exam hall. The admit card also mentions the exam day roll number essential to locate the seat.
  • Keep a Valid ID proof: The exam authorities validate the admit card with a valid ID proof. Candidates should carry an ID proof such as Driving license, Aadhar card, voter card, a passport, etc.
  • Do not bring Electronic Gadgets to Exam Hall: Keeping an electronic device during the examination is strictly prohibited; candidates should refrain from such a practice.
  • Do not carry any kind of Study Material or Books: The exam authorities do not allow keeping any kind of study material or any stationery material, be it blank paper. This will result in the cancellation of the candidature.
  • Carry a Ball Point Pen: As per the admit card of the AP LAWCET/ PGLCET, candidates will have to carry a blue or black ball-point pen to the exam hall.

AP LAWCET 2026 Exam Day Instructions - At the Test Centre:   

  • Candidates will have to present the Hall Ticket at the entrance and also inside the AP LAWCET 2026 Examination Hall.
  • The biometric verification (photograph and left-hand thumb impression) will be done as part of the identity verification process.
  • Once you login to the test system, read the on-screen instructions carefully about the symbols used for answering online questions. To acquaint oneself with this, appearing in mock tests will help.
  • In case you face any technical or hardware issues, raise your hand and inform the Invigilator immediately. Carefully listen to the announcements by the exam invigilators.
  • Candidates will be provided with the rough sheets for any calculations or notes, which must be returned to the Invigilator at the end of the examination.
  • Keep your Hall Ticket document safe until the completion of the admission process.

In the Andhra Pradesh LAWCET 2025 exam, around 27,253 candidates registered for the Law entrance exam and over 21,251 candidates appeared and around 20,826 students qualified. A:

To check the seat alotment for Andhra Pradesh LAWCET 2025, following steps should be followed:

  • Visit the Andhra Pradesh LAWCET counselling portal 
  • Login using the registered email ID, DOB, or hall ticket number, a new login window will appear.
  • If a seat is allotted, you will be able to download the seat allotment letter. 
  • Now, open the letter in PDF format to check all the details mentioned

Important Instructions to AP LAWCET/ PGLCET 2026 Candidates:

1.  Please check the details printed in the Hall Ticket carefully for your Name, Date of Birth, Gender, Category, and Subject. In case of any discrepancy, communicate to the AP LAWCET & AP PGLCET - 2026 help line centre immediately for necessary action.
2. Hall ticket shall be shown at the Entrance of the Test Centre and also in the Examination Hall, failing which the candidates will not be allowed to write the test.
3. Candidates will be permitted to appear for the examination only after their credentials are verified by the centre officials.
4. The candidate shall carry into the Examination hall (i) Black/Blue Ball Point Pen (ii) Hall Ticket (iii) ID Card.
5. The Candidate shall bring the downloaded Hall Ticket along with any one of Government Authorized identification proof viz. Aadhar Card/PAN Card/Voter ID Card/Passport/Driving License.
6. The candidate will be permitted into the Examination Hall from 7.30 AM to 9 AM for identification.
7. Candidate will not be permitted into the Examination Hall once the test commences (i.e. 9 AM) and will not be allowed to leave the Examination Hall till the end of the Examination (i.e.10.30 AM). Candidates will not be allowed into the examination hall even if they are late by one minute.
8. Listen the instructions announced by the invigilator carefully. After login read the instructions regarding the list of symbols related to answering online examination displayed on the screen carefully. No clarifications or doubts related to the questions of the examination paper will be entertained during the examination.
9. In case of any discrepancy between English and Telugu versions of the Question and options, English version shall be treated as final.
10. In case you detect any hardware or software problems with the computer system provided, please raise your hand and talk to the Invigilators. The problem shall be rectified immediately. In case the problem is not rectified within a reasonable time, the system will be changed for you. Time does not tick forward while this replacement is going on so no time will be lost for the candidate.
11. The check-in procedure inside the Examination hall includes capturing of biometric information (your photo and left hand thumb impression). This is a security feature which will allow AP LAWCET & AP PGLCET - 2026 authorities to verify your identity and also to avoid impersonation. Therefore, you are advised not to apply any external materials like Mehanadi, Ink etc. on Hands/Feet
12. Carrying of Calculators, Mathematical/ Log Tables, Pagers, Cell Phones, Watches (all types), Large Spectacles, any other Electronic Gadgets and loose sheets of paper into the examination hall is strictly prohibited.
13. Adoption of any kind of unfair means and any act of impersonation during the time of test will render the applicant liable for invalidation of his/her Examination. Further he/she will forfeit the claim of appearing for the test and will make him/her liable for criminal action.
14. There may not be a guaranteed security facility for the safe-keeping of your valuable devices or personal belongings outside the examination hall.
15. Issue of Hall Ticket and appearance at the test does not automatically entitle the candidate for admission into a College.
16. No traveling expenses will be paid for the journey to take up the test.
17. Blank papers will be provided for rough work in the examination hall. Candidates will not be allowed to leave the examination center without handing over the rough sheet to the invigilator concerned after the end of the examination.
18. Contact the center chief Superintendent / Invigilator in the room for any technical assistance, first aid, emergency or any other information during the course of the examination if required.
19. Hall Ticket must be preserved till the time of admission into the college.
