Andhra Pradesh State Education Council conducts the AP LAWCET 2025 and AP PGLCET 2025 exams for admission to 3-year LLB courses, 5-year integrated LLB courses and postgraduate LLM course once in a year. Candidates who appear in this exam becomes eligible to participate in the counselling process conducted by the participating colleges.

Q:   What are the Andhra Pradesh LAWCET 2023 cutoff marks?
A:

The admission cutoff for Andhra Pradesh LAWCET 2023 would be category-specific and indicate the minimum ranks one needs to secure in one's category for admission. Note that anyone who fails to meet the criteria will not get admission. The Andhra Pradesh LAWCET cutoff marks in the entrance exam are the same as the Andhra Pradesh LAWCET qualifying marks. The Andhra Pradesh LAWCET qualifying mark 2023 for general category candidates is 45%. However, the qualifying mark for OBC candidates is 40%. There is no qualifying mark in the Andhra Pradesh LAWCET 2023 for candidates belonging to the SC and ST categories. They can register for the Andhra Pradesh LAWCET counselling 2023 without a minimum mark or percentage requirement.

How will be the AP LAWCET 2025 Cutoff be determined?

Each participating college releases a separate cut-off list. The following factors will affect the determination of the cut-off for AP LAWCET and AP PGLCET 2025:

  • Total number of seats offered
  • The number of applicants of a course
  • Merit ranks achieved by the applicants
  • Candidate’s category
  • Difficulty level of the exam

In the year 2024, the level of difficulty of the AP LAWCET exam was considered to be from moderate to difficult. Hence, the AP LAWCET 2024 3-year LLB cut-offs went between 450 to 700. And, the 5-year LLB entrance exam was also categorized as difficult, which brought the cut-offs to fall between 290 and 550.

AP LAWCET/ PGLCET 2025 Tie-breaking Criteria

The exam authorities prepare the results of the candidates once the AP LAWCET Final Answer Key is released. The exam authority prepares a category-wise rank list and, in case marks/ranks of two of more candidates the same, then the following method will be implemented to resolve the ties:

  • Candidates who have higher marks in Aptitude for the Study of Law section will be ranked higher
  • Also, candidates who obtain more marks in Current Affairs section will be ranked higher
  • If the tie in rank still persists then, the age of the candidate will be given preference

With just a few days left for the exam to take place, candidates should practically follow the AP LAWCET preparation strategy. Below are some important tips to ace the AP LAWCET 2025 exam:

  • Revise the important topics and avoid picking up any new topic
