AIBE 22 (XXII) Application Form 2026 Released: The BCI has activated the AIBE 22 registration link for the candidates. To register for the AIBE Exam,  candidates can visit the official website - allindiabarexamination.com. The BCI released the details about the AIBE application process, eligibility and other important information in the notification. Read below to know the steps of filling the AIBE Application Form, important dates, and eligibility criteria.

Important Note: Candidates who have failed in previous AIBE XX or XXI examinations are not required to register again. Such applicants may log in using their existing User ID and Password. They can fill and submit the AIBE XXII application form using their previous registration details.

To fill out the AIBE 22 application form 2026, it is mandatory to meet the eligibility requirements. In case candidates fail to fulfil the AIBE 22 Eligibility Criteria, BCI will reject their application.

Qualifying exam

Candidates who have passed or are in final year of a three-year LLB or five-year LLB degree are eligible to appear for the AIBE exam. Therefore, the academic qualifying exam for AIBE candidates is 

  1. 3-year LLB degree, OR
  2. 5-year integrated LLB degree

Minimum marks in qualifying exam

The BCI mentions no minimum marks are required for appearing in the AIBE exam. However, a candidate must secure a minimum percentage or grades in their law degree as prescribed by universities for further education. 

Age limit for AIBE exam

There is no upper or lower age limit for appearing in the All India Bar Examination. 

State Bar Council Registration/Enrollment 

A candidate who has not registered with their State Bar Councils as an Advocate can apply. As State Bar Council enrollment is no more mandatory for AIBE eligibility.

To successfully submit the application form, candidates must pay the AIBE (XXII) 22 application fee offline through SBI challan or online through HDFC using Debit Card/ Credit Card/ Net Banking. The application fee for AIBE 22 has been mentioned below:

How to correct AIBE 22 (XXII) 2026-27 Application Details?

The AIBE Application Form Correction Window 2026 can be accessed online only. Candidates must ensure all changes are made before the window is closed. After that, no requests will be entertained. 

The details that could be requested for the application correction were

  • Enrolment Number,
  • Date of Birth,

However, the following fields cannot be edited after the payment was made,

No, one cannot get a CoP without having passed the AIBE if one completed his or her education with an LLB degree in or after 2009-2010. Passing the AIBE is mandatory for those who want to practice law on their own after completing an LLB degree from any recognised institution.
