TS LAWCET Dress Code and Exam Day Guidelines, Items Prohibited, Reporting Time, Question Booklet Instructions
Telangana State Examination Council will conduct the TS LAWCET 2026 and TS PGLCET 2026 exam for admission to the 3-year, 5-year LLB and LLM programs. Check out the important exam day guidelines and dress code to be followed on the exam day below.
The TS LAWCET and TS PGLCET 2026 exams will be held on May 18, 2026, in a multiple-choice question format. If you plan to appear for these exams, make sure to follow all the exam day guidelines, along with the common dos and don’ts mentioned below. Doing so will help you have a smooth and stress-free TS LAWCET exam day experience.

TS LAWCET 2026 Dress Code & Exam Day Guidelines
Candidates appearing for the TS LAWCET 2026 or AP PGLCET 2026 must carefully read the important exam day guidelines to avoid the last-minute stress and delays. Follow the guidelines as mentioned below for a smooth exam day:
- Plan your exam day in advance
Try to reach the MH CET Law exam center around 30 to 60 minutes before the test begins. Coming early makes it easier to find the seat and stay calm before the paper starts. It also gives some extra time to settle down and prepare well for the MHCET Law exam.
- Do not forget to carry your TS LAWCET Admit Card 2026
At the time of entering the MH CET Law exam hall, you will have to show your admit card to the staff. Anyone who doesn’t have the MH CET Law hall ticket won’t be allowed to take the exam. The admit card also has your roll number printed on it, which helps you find your seat easily on the exam day. Always keep it safe and carry it with you to the MHCET Law exam centre.
- Things to carry
The candidate will have to carry:
(i) Black / Blue Ball Point Pen
(ii) Hall Ticket and
(iii) Filled in Online Application Form
(iv) ID proof (Aadhar Card/Voter ID/PAN Card/Passport).
Candidates can also keep a transparent water bottle with them to the exam hall. The exam authorities will validate the admit card with a valid ID proof.
- Do not bring any kind of Study Material
Carrying any kind of study material inside the exam hall will lead to the disqualification of the candidate from the exam hall.
- Dress Code to be followed: The rules about what to wear and what not to wear on exam day are mentioned on the admit card by the exam officials. You should wear simple and comfortable clothes that suit the weather and are easy to handle during the test. Avoid wearing too many layers, it can make checking difficult or cause discomfort while sitting for the MH CET Law exam.
- The filled-in online TS LAWCET or PGLCET 2026 application form should be kept ready before the exam. Paste a recent photograph on it, which must be attested by a Gazetted Officer or the Principal of the college where studied. Put the left-hand thumb impression in the given space using a stamp pad well in advance. After signing the form in front of the invigilator, hand it over to them carefully during the exam.

TS LAWCET question paper will be set both in English and Telugu or English and Urdu. Candidates will be given option to choose the language as per their preferences. The Telangana LAWCET exam will comprise the questions majorly from three subjects namely GK & Mental Ability, Current Affairs, and Aptitude for the Study of Law.

TS LAWCET/ PGLCET 2026 Exam Day Prohibited Material
Candidates should abstain from having the following items inside TS LAWCET Exam Hall which may lead to restriction of entry to the exam hall:
- Calculators,
- Mathematical/Log Tables,
- Pagers,
- Cell Phones,
- Watches,
- Large Spectacles,
- Heavy Gold Ornaments,
- Card Holders,
- Wallets any other Electronic Gadgets(including Keys)
- Written study material, books and personal notes
- Valuable devices or personal belongings
- Food items or beverages
Candidates who are giving the TS LAWCET/ PGLCET exam will have to follow the exam day guidelines and dress code to easily enter the exam hall and avoid any disruption during the exam.
There are a total of 120 questions in the TS LAWCET question paper. Following is the segregation of marks for each section:
- General Knowledge & Mental Ability: 30 questions
- Current Affairs: 30 questions
- Aptitude for the Study of Law: 60 questions
The Aptitude for the Study of Law is the most important section of the TS LAWCET exam because majority of the questions are asked in this section and it carries a weightage of equal to 60 marks out 120 marks.
