GMCET 2026 is an Online Entrance Test to shortlist candidates for admission into UG & PG Media courses being offered by several universities across India. According to the GMCET 2026 Exam Pattern, the following are some important highlights of GMCET Question Paper 2026:

The Global Media Education Council decides the marking scheme for the exam. The GMCET 2026 entrance test will be checked according to the following GMCET marking scheme 2026.

  • +1 mark for every correct answer

As per the official exam pattern of GMCET there are 4 sections - English language and IQ, General knowledge of news and current affairs, Entertainment media knowledge and Brands and brand communication basic knowledge. The GMCET question paper will be based on these 4 sections. Each section will consist of 25 questions which will in multiple choice format. Total there will be 100 questions and the best part of the exam pattern is there will be no negative marking in the GMCET exam.

No, GMCET is conducted once every month between March to October. However, the schedule may change, hence, candidates are advised to visit official website for latest updates.

The GMEC has not yet made any official announcement related to the exam dates for GMCET 2026 exam. However, it is expected to begin in the last week of July 2026. The mode of entrance test is online. Students will get one hour to complete the exam.

No, the Global Media Common Entrance Test (GMCET) exam is conducted only in online mode. The GMCET application form is expected to release anytime soon at gmcet.org.  can apply for admission to undergraduate courses like BJMC, BMS, BMC, BMM, BSc (in various media disciplines), and BA at various participating universities.
