Film and Television Institute of India has announced the exam date for the re-conduction of Stage 1 exam. The FTII JET exam dates 2026 for WrittenTest is July 12, 2026. The FTII JET 2026 exam for first stage was earlier conducted on April 26, in two shifts. The schedule for FTII JET Stage 2 exam will be shared by the institute, along with Stage 1 result. Only candidates who will pass the first stage FTII JET entrance exam will be allowed to appear for Stage 2. The FTII JET Stage 2 exam will be conducted tentatively in July 2026. It is a bit tough to crack the FTII JET exam because FTII is the premier film making school in India and aspirants from all over India apply for this coveted exam making the competition a bit tough. The admit card for FTII JET will be released from June 29, 2026 onwards. Registered candidates can download their hall ticket till exam day. The FTII JET admit card mentions details like candidates' names, roll numbers, FTII JET centre address, reporting time, exam start time, exam day instructions, etc. Candidates are advised to take a clear printout of their hall ticket and must remember to take it with them to the exam hall.

There is a cut off which is defined after the exam is conducted. The FTII JET cut off is defined based on various factors such as the exam's difficulty level, total number of applicants who appeared in the exam and the shifts under which the exam is conducted. Candidates who score equal to or more than the FTII JET cut off will qualify in the exam. FTII JET Result Date 2026

FTII will release FTII JET result 2026 for Stage 1 and Stage 2 at ftii.ac.in/en. Candidates who will re-appear for FTII JET Stage 1 exam 2026, will be able to check their names in merit list. Once released, the direct link to download merit list will be shared on this page. Candidates with their names in FTII JET Stage 1 merit list can take FTII JET Stage 2 exam. Once both stages are conducted successfully, Film and Television Institute of India will announce final FTII JET 2026 result with names, roll number and marks of selected candidates eligible for counselling and further admission process.

FTII JET Counselling Dates 2026
Candidates who meet their selected course's eligibility criteria set by the Film and Television Institute of India, appear and pass FTII JET Stage 1 and FTII JET Stage 2 exam will be called for FTII JET counselling process 2026. Selected candidates have to pay FTII JET seat acceptance fee to secure their seat at the institute for their selected course. Usually, the fee amount is INR 50,000, which is to be paid on SBI portal link (to be shared by FTII). The institute will also announce the last date to pay the seat acceptance fee on official website. Candidates must note that this fee amount will be deducted from the course fee after their admission is confirmed.
Note: Even after the counselling process is completed successfully, a candidate's admission depends on the result of their Medical Test. FTII states that if a student fails his/her Medical Test, then the university has complete authority to reject the admission of that candidate.
