By: Sujaine Mishra
Companies that came till now are very much clear that they don’t want any backlog or arrear and more than 80% of the companies have criteria of more than 60% in 10th, 12th and graduation.
“Working hard is the key to success. But in the current scenario, eligibility matters a lot too.”
Nowadays it is very important to know about the eligibility criteria so that the students can prepare accordingly. As a fresher, to get placed from the college campus is a huge deal. Even companies cannot select everyone because they have to shortlist and hire onboard only those who really serving something to the company in an extraordinary manner.
I will be discussing a few important details regarding Placement Eligibility Criteria for MBA:
- The total number of students for the 2018-2020 batch is 240 and in which they are segregated in three respective specializations i.e. Finance (150), Marketing (10) and Human Resource (65).
- Since it is not possible to get every student placed, there will be always eligibility criteria set by the company.
- Any student who gets placed for 3 lakh will not be allowed to sit for 5 lakh so that other students should also get a chance as well.
Companies that came till now are very much clear that they don’t want any backlog or arrear and more than 80% of the companies have criteria of more than 60% in 10th, 12th and graduation. Since eligibility criteria were like this, half of the students did not get any chances to sit for the college placement drive.

- Companies like EY, KPMG, ANZ bank and HDFC life came for Finance specialization and they have criteria of 60% throughout 10th, 12th and graduation and even good marks in postgraduation till the last semester.
- Companies like Canara Hsbc, Square Yard, Ethnus Pvt Ltd, PhonePe , Apollo Munich, Induslnd Bank, Khimji Ramdas etc, came for Marketing specialization and in this half of them had 60% and above eligibility criteria, whereas remaining didn’t have any criteria.
- Companies like Proptiger and Arctech Information came for Human Resource specialization and they didn’t have any eligibility criteria.
So, the performance is not upto the mark if compared to other 2-tier/3-tier management colleges in Bangalore. Other than eligibility criteria, they also look for good communication skills, should be knowledgeable in the technical field and should be hard working.
