IIM Kashipur - The Rising Star.

Placements: Placements start from September-October in the 5th trimester. All the details of the placement, as well as the summer internship, can be found on the institute's website. Many companies also offered PPOs based summer internships. The summer internship process starts in the 1st trimester itself. This is an excellent opportunity especially for the freshers to make their first mark in the corporate arena.

Infrastructure: Hostels are provided to all the students. 1st-year students have to share the room while 2nd-year students are provided single occupancy rooms. Microwave, refrigerator and washing machine are provided on each floor. The food provided in the mess is of decent quality. Charges for the same are Rs 200/day.

Faculty: The faculty-student ratio is around 1:80. Case-based approach is followed like all other Iims. Case materials are updated from time to time. Term exams were timely. Relative grading is followed like other Iims. Exams are easy for students who attend their classes.

Other: To be honest, this was the best available college for me. Agnitraya is the annual fest which was conducted online due to the pandemic. All types of sports and extracurricular activities are conducted in the campus although the management for the same can be improved. Scholarships are given on the basis of merit and also to the needy students. Details related to scholarships are available on the website.

Great placements and placement cell.

Placements: The highest CTC- 45 LPA the highest International CTC- 48.5 LPA Average CTC- 13.2 LPA. 96 companies had visited the college campus for conducting the recruitment process. Some of the prominent recruiters were: Raam Group, Infosys, Cinepolis, KEI, Accenture, Pitstop, RBS, IBM, Airtel, Sankey, Teltonika. More than 200 companies approached for placements.

Infrastructure: The institute is well-equipped with facilities inside and outside the campus premises such as the digital library, a computer lab, well-equipped gymnasium, well-furnished classrooms with Projector facilities and sound system facilities, conference room etc. In hostel facilities you will be getting a microwave, fridge washing machine. Everything is pretty good. Talking about food that everything here is run by students only. So, the mess committee looks after this.

Faculty: The faculty of IIM Kashipur are well versed and they adopt the methodology of exchange of faculty, Joint Research Activities, Short-term Exchange of Students to improve learning. These faculty members are highly supportive and friendly but they are strict sometimes. The MBA programme is divided into six terms, there are three terms in each year. Each term lasts for over 11 weeks. The first three terms are assigned to the thorough understanding of the core courses which are compulsory. Some of the core courses are: Business Statistics Accounting, Markets, Microeconomics. The elective subjects are chosen according to the field of interest.

Shortlisted candidates will be called for Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI) based on CAT/GMAT (overseas candidate) percentile/score.
Final Selection
Admissions will be done on the basis of percentile/score in CAT/GMAT (overseas candidate), performance in personal interview, Written Analysis Test (WAT), academic record and relevant work experience. Following weightage is given to calculate the cumulative score: 1. Written analysis test – 10% 2. Personal interview -30% 3. CAT - 42% 4. Class 10th - 1% 5. Class 12th - 1% 6. Graduation marks - 3% 7. Post-graduation marks - 1% 8. Work experience- 3% 9. Academic discipline - 4% 10. Gender - 5% For NRI/PIO/Foreign candidates: Admissions will be done on the basis of percentile/score in CAT/GMAT, Work Experience, past academic performance, interviews over telephone / video conferencing, and personal interviews Selection criteria for Overseas Applicants?: CAT/GMAT score (30% weight for the score exceeding the minimum required). Work Experience (WE) score (20% weight). Score for Past Academic Performance (PAP) (20% weight). There's no cutoff with respect to your graduation scores while applying. So, yes you can apply. As far as chances of getting a call are concerned, it depends solely on your CAT score. Good luck and prepare well!
