The online application process for NEET II has commenced from May 26 for admissions to MBBS and BDS courses across the country. The exam will be held as per the directives of Supreme Court and the Ordinances promulgated by the Central government on May 24 on conduct of NEET. The exam will be held on July 24.

NEET, which was scrapped in the year 2013, made a comeback for admissions to all India quota seats and state government quota seats across medical colleges in the country. According to the SC directive, aspirants who did not take AIPMT 2016 (NEET-I) and aspirants who took the exam but are unsure of their preparation can appear for NEET II. However, such students will have to provide an undertaking that they would give up their candidature for NEET I. Subsequently, aspirants who were left out as they could not register for NEET II will be eligible to apply as well.

Please note that NEET is being conducted in two parts - Phase I and Phase II- only for this year due to the confusion prevailing about the exam since the last few months. From next year onwards, the exam will be held only once a year.
