NEET 2021: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the medical entrance test NEET 2021 on September 12, new Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan announced. The National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) 2021 Application process will begin today from 5 pm onwards. Candidates must note that NEET Registration 2021 needs to be done through the official website of NTA. With clarity on NEET 2021 date, students can finally concentrate on the exam. NEET 2021 exam is the biggest medical entrance exams conducted to get admission in MBBS and BDS in the country. According to NEET 2021 date released earlier, the undergraduate exam is scheduled to be held on August 1.
"The NEET (UG) 2021 will be held on 12th September 2021 across the country following COVID-19 protocols. The application process will begin from 5 pm tomorrow through the NTA website(s)," the new Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan tweeted.
The Union Education Minister also said that the number of NEET 2021 examination centres will be increased from the 3,862 centres used in 2020 “In order to ensure social distancing norms, the number of cities where the examination will be conducted has been increased from 155 to 198," the education minister said.
- Candidates should keep a scanned copy of Class 10 and Class 12 certificates and mark sheets, roll number, school address and other details
- Candidates must ensure that the scanned copy has all the correct details, including the spelling of the father and mother's name
- Soft copy of Aadhaar card and note down the last four digits of Aadhaar number
- Passport Number
- Ration card number
- Bank account or any other valid government identity number
- Scanned images of passport-size photograph, signature, left-hand thumb impression
- Credit/Debit card, Net Banking and UPI payment gateway details (for online payment)
NEET 2021: Exam Guidelines
COVID-19 safety protocols will be maintained across the NEET 2021 exam centres. “To ensure adherence to COVID-19 protocols, face mask will be provided to all candidates at the centre. Staggered time slots during entry and exit, contactless registration, proper sanitisation, seating with social distancing etc. will also be ensured,” the Union Education Minister tweeted.
It must be noted that the detailed exam guidelines have not been released by NTA yet and is expected by next month.
NEET 2021 Registration: Steps to Apply for NEET 2021
Students can check the steps below to fill the NEET 2021 Application form:
- Go to the official website of NTA; i.e. nta.ac.in
- Click on the NEET 2021 Registration
- Enter the name, contact details, identification card number
- Fill in the personal, academic, contact details, selection of exam centres and more
- Upload passport size photograph, signature, postcard size photograph, Class 10 passing certificate and left-hand thumb impression
- Pay NEET application fee in online mode using debit/credit cards and net banking
- Printout of the confirmation page for future use
