Pharmaceutics focuses on formulation and design of drugs for masses also teaching students how to create effective medicines in different forms. 

But Pharmacology, on other hand, is study and not process. It is a study of how drugs affect and work with human body.

The Madurai Medical College is composed of 360 faculty members, 60 of which are professors, 120 associate professors, and 180 assistant professors. The student-faculty ratio is 1:5. The faculty members have the doctorate degrees-MD/MS/DM/MCh hailing from prestigious institute 80% of the faculty members are having teaching experience of more than five years among which 40 percentage have their research papers published in national/international journals. Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research offers many scholarships such as Founder-Chancellor Merit-cum-Means Scholarship, Founder-Chancellor Cash Award, Hospital Ward Technician Course, Chancellor Undergraduate Summer Research Fellowships, Founder-Chancellor Fellowships for PhD. Candidates and Publication Support Grant. Students can avail of the scholarships only if they meet the eligibility criteria. You must secure a minimum aggregate ranging from 40% to 60%, differing as per the chosen course to get in Annamalai University UG and PhD courses. However, for PG level course admissions, candidates must secure a minimum aggregate of 40% to 50% in graduation.
