CA Final Exam to be Held Thrice, Announces ICAI

CA Final exam to be held thrice

In a major decision taken by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), the organization has announced that it will hold the CA Final exam three times a year.

In a press notification released on March 27, the ICAI said, “In order to align with global best practices and provide students with greater opportunities, the 26^th Council of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has taken a historic decision to hold the CA Final exam three times a year.  This examination was being held twice a year. Last year, ICAI took a decision to hold the Intermediate and Foundation course exams three times a year and now the CA Final exams will follow suit.

Now, all three levels—CA Final, Intermediate and Foundation will have an equal number of attempts each year, providing students more opportunities to sit in the exam. These exams will be held in the month of January, May and September.”

“Additionally, the Post Qualification Course in Information Systems Audit will also undergo a transformation. Earlier conducted twice a year in June and December, the Assessment Test for this course will now be held three times a year - February, June and October, further increasing access and convenience for members, it said further.

ICAI will be conducting CA Foundation, CA Intermediate and CA Final examinations in May 2025. CA Foundation exam will be held on May 15, 17, 19 and 21, 2025. CA Intermediate exam will be held on May 3, 5, 7, 9, 11 and 14, 2025. CA Final exam will be held on May 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 and 13, 2025.
