Somaiya Vidyavihar University is inviting applications for BA Liberal Arts and MA Liberal Arts programmes through Somaiya School of Civilisation Studies. Students seeking admission to BA and MA programmes in Liberal Arts for the academic session 2025-26 can fill the application form in online mode from the university's official website. The BA Liberal Arts and MA Liberal Arts programs aim to provide students with the instruction they need for today's complex and divided world.
The programmes will offer an interdisciplinary learning experience that incorporates cultural, political, and social perspectives. The programme aligns with the objectives of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, which prioritises flexibility and a diversified academic framework for students.
The program allows students to investigate the evolution, transformation, and interactions of civilisations through diverse periods and regions. This inquiry utilises a variety of disciplines, including history, philosophy, literature, anthropology, political science, and regional studies, to create a thorough and integrated perspective of human cultures. In addition to classroom education, students can participate in research and field-based inquiry through dedicated centres such as the Centre for Asian and Area Studies, the Centre for Himalayan and Mountain Studies, the Centre for Indian Ocean and Transoceanic Studies, and the Centre for Kachchh and Desert Studies.
The BA Liberal Arts programme will be offered in six majors, including Anthropology, Literature, History, Philosophy, Asian / Area Studies and Political Science. Meanwhile, MA Liberal Arts is a postgraduate programme that equips students with the skills and knowledge required for diverse career paths, including academic research, policy-making, roles in cultural institutions, publishing, diplomacy, and other related fields.

To get admission into Somaiya Vidyavihar University, one needs to select the course he or she wants to study and check the eligibility criteria for that course on the official website. The form can be filled online. One needs to upload necessary documents and pay the application fee. Some courses require scores from entrance exams like JEE or CAT; others are merit-based. On shortlisting, attend counseling or interviews and confirm admission through submission of documents and paying fees.
National Testing Agency will commence CUET 2026 registration in first week of March. Soon after the release of the CUET notification candidates candidates can check the important dates pertaining to CUET 2026. The last date for CUET 2026 registration will be notiifed aling with the last date for payment of fee.
Candidats will be required to fill the CUET application form within the given time frame, failing which no request for extension of the CUET registration last date will be entertained. NTA does not provide the window for late fee payment. CUET 2026 application process will be in online mode. No physical copies of the CUET application form must be sent to the authorities.
