Board Exams: Class 10, 12 students move Supreme Court against offline exam

CBSE has announced that it will conduct term-2 exams for Class 10 and Class 12 in offline mode from April 26.

Students of Class 10 and 12 from 15 states have moved Supreme Court for an alternative assessment instead of an offline exam for all the board examinations.

The students have moved to the Supreme Court through Advocate Anubha Shrivastava Sahai and the Odisha students union have moved the SC for an alternative assessment instead of an offline exam for all the boards and declaration of results on time.

Students are also demanding an option for improvement exams due to various challenges being faced by them and which they will face.

This week, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) announced that it will conduct the term-2 exams for Class 10 and Class 12 in offline mode from April 26. The term-1 examinations were held in the month of November-December, 2021. CBSE is yet to announce the result of the examination

The decision to hold the examination in offline mode has been taken after considering the COVID-19 pandemic situation in the country.

The CBSE has also stated that the Class 10 and Class 12 board examinations would be conducted at the designated examination centres. The Board will be issuing Date Sheet 2022 on the official website soon.
