CG Board will award marks to CGBSE 10th students on the basis of the internal assessments. Those who were not able to appear for practical exams or projects due to COVID19 will be awarded the minimum marks required for passing.

CGBSE Class 10th result: The Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education (CGBSE) released the evaluation criteria for awarding marks to CGBSE class 10 students. The board had cancelled the class 10 examinations amid surge in COVID cases in the state.

The official notification reads, โ€œRegular students who were not able to appear for practical exams or projects due to COVID19 will be awarded minimum passing marks. The preparation of CGBSE Class 10 results 2021 will be done on the basis of internal assessment. Thus, in every theory subject, a maximum of 72 out of 75 marks will be awarded. Similarly, for theory exams of additional subjects, a maximum of 29 out of 30 can be awarded and 68 out of 70 will be valid for practical exams.โ€

Chhattisgarh State Open School has also cancelled the CGBSE 10th exams and deferred CGBSE 12th exams 2021 amid rising coronavirus cases. The exams were scheduled between May 24 and June 15 for both secondary and senior secondary students. Class 10 students will also be awarded minimum marks required to pass in the practical exams or projects and be promoted to the next class. If any student is not satisfied with the awarded marks, he/she can appear for the upcoming exams for improving their scores.

Around 4.61 lakh students had registered to appear for class 10 exams, which were cancelled due to the pandemic situation.

Speaking on this VK Goyal, secretary, CGBSE said, โ€œIf a student has not completed the assignment work or has not achieved the minimum marks required, then such students will be awarded minimum passing marks. Further, if a student is dissatisfied with his/her marks, then they shall be given an opportunity to write the exams when the situation is favourable.โ€
