The Council informed that no decision has been taken with regard to the beginning of ICSE, ISC board exams 2021, however, the examinations will not be conducted before March due to the ongoing pandemic situation.
The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) will release the ICSE, ISC 2021 time table soon on the official website. The board will hold the board exams for classes 10 and 12 after March. In a recent notice, CISCE clarified that ICSE 10th and ISC 12th 2021 exams will not be conducted in February, March due to the ongoing pandemic situation in the country and the upcoming elections in five states.
The board, however, did not mention the dates for the conduct of exams. It is expected that CISCE will announce the timetable for the board examinations 2021 after its counterpart, CBSE releases the datesheet. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will be releasing the CBSE datesheet 2021 on February 2. The exams are scheduled between May 2 and June 10.
The board also clarified that the new academic session 2021-22 will continue as usual. “The Council is in receipt of several queries from heads of schools regarding the start of the new academic session for the year 2021-22. This has probably been raised since the ICSE and ISC exams have not been scheduled yet,” read the official statement. The Council stated 10th, 12th board exams for the session 2020 and the beginning of the academic session 2021 ‘unrelated matters’ and said that the academic year 2021-22 will be held as per schedule.
