Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) is strictly against the practise of using any unfair means during the examinations. The board is actively working to prevent and discourage any malpractice during board examinations every year. So, you are advised to go through the JKBOSE 10th syllabus and solve as many previous years question papers and sample papers to avoid cheating during the Class 10 board exams.

The pass percentage of the JKBOSE 10^th exam last  year was 70%.

JKBOSE Class 10th subjects include General English, Social studies, Urdu/Hindi, Maths, Science, Computer Science, Additional/Optional subjects, Music etc. 

The detailed subject wise JKBOSE Class 10 and 12 date sheet 2026 was released in January 2026. JKBOSE 10th exams 2026 for students from the summer zone areas of Jammu division is being held between Feb 17 and March 10, 2026.

Jammu and Kashmir State Board of School Education announced the JKBOSE 10th exam date 2026 for Jammu division. As per the released schedule, JKBOSE 10th exams 2026 for students in the summer zone areas of Jammu division was conducted from Feb 17 and Mar 10, 2026. 

Over 53,000 candidates appear for the JKBOSE 10^th exams, every year.

When appearing for the JKBOSE exams, you must feel relaxed and comfortable. Yes, you will be allowed to go to the washroom during the examination but only once and with an invigilator. Students often use washroom for using unfair means and cheat in board exams, however, they must know that the invigilator can frisk them anytime during the exam duration. So, it is recommended to use washroom only when needed.

For JKBOSE Class 10th/12th, it is considered to be strict. However, it is said that the checking done by evaluators is lenient in comparison to the checking done by them in Class 9, 11 in their schools.

So, if u have covered the entire JKBOSE 10th syllabus and JK Board 12th syllabus 2026 your preparation is on point, then you must not worry about the strict checking. Solve JKBOSE sample papers and previous years' question papers to get familiar with the exam pattern, marking scheme, and more. 

The total marks per subject for the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) 10th exam is 100. 80 marks for Theory and 20 marks for Internal assessment. The passing criteria for the JKBOSE 10th exam is 33% in both the theory and practical exam of a subject. 

In case you are unable to clear the JKBOSE 10th exams 2026 in the first attempt, pls note that the board conducts the supplementary exams too. These exams are likely to be held in July 2026. A separate JKBOSE date sheet will be released for the same. 

Students must study and finish their syllabus to perform well in these exams.

The difficulty level of the JKBOSE Class 10th exam is relative and depends from student to student based on their preparation level. It also varies from subject to subject. The exam is not very tough to crack if the student does a thorough and strategic preparation. Regular revision is very important to score high marks in the JKBOSE 10th exam.

You should study at least 3-4 hours daily to get marks in the JKBOS 10th exam. The time differs for different students. They should not study for long hours. They should take enough breaks in between. They should solve and learn old question papers and sample papers.
