The Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (MPBSE) has clarified that students appearing for Class 10 and Class 12 board exams in 2025–26 can submit their exam forms without an APAAR ID.
The directive of the state board is a move towards gradually implementing the APAAR ID (Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry ID) system under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
Key Highlights from MPBSE Notice
For Session 2025–26: Exam application forms will be accepted even without APAAR ID.
Mandatory from 2026–27: Starting next academic year, APAAR ID will be compulsory for all exam forms.
APAAR ID Generation: The ID is created via the UDISE portal, using Aadhaar-based authentication.
Digital Academic Record: APAAR ID will help maintain a lifelong digital profile of students’ academic achievements.
The board has stated that students and schools get a grace period in 2025–26 to adapt to the APAAR ID system. From 2026 onwards, APAAR ID will become a compulsory requirement for Class 10 and 12 board exams in Madhya Pradesh.
