IIM IIT AIIMS Jammu collaborate for integrated teaching, collaborative research & more

The four institutions have collaborated in order to synergize their intellectual capabilities for setting global benchmarks in the field of integrated teaching, professional training and collaborative research. 

The four institutions of excellence-AIIMS Jammu, Indian Institute of Technology Jammu, Indian Institute of Management Jammu and the University of Jammu came together on a common platform under the visionary leadership of Dr Shakti Kumar Gupta, First Executive Director and CEO AIIMS Jammu. The collaboration has taken place in order to synergize their intellectual capabilities for setting global benchmarks in the field of integrated teaching, professional training and collaborative research. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between these four institutes on August 28, 2021.  The event was graced by chief guest, Dr Jitendra Singh, Union Minister of State. Professor (Dr) YK Gupta, President AIIMS, Jammu was the guest of honour. The occasion was also attended by other dignitaries such as Dr Milind Kamble, Chairman Board of Governors, IIM, Jammu; Professor B.S Sahay Director IIM, Jammu; Dr Manoj Singh Gaur, Director IIT Jammu; Professor Manoj Kumar Dhar, Vice-Chancellor, University of Jammu.

On this occasion, AIIMS Jammu signed three MoUs -MoU between IIM Jammu & AIIMS Jammu; Tripartite MoU between IIM Jammu, IIT Jammu & AIIMS Jammu and MoU between the University of Jammu and AIIMS Jammu.

Under these MoUs, these institutes will jointly develop integrated teaching modules, organize international conferences and symposiums, undertake executive training programmes, develop strategies for improving the Primary and Secondary Health Care & Application of Artificial Intelligence, IOT, Big data analytics, Machine Learning, Blockchain etc to strengthen the delivery of Healthcare Services.

Considering the ongoing pandemic situation and collapsing healthcare sector, the MoU have been signed to further boost the healthcare delivery system by offering Joint Post-Graduate Diploma/Certificate Courses in the area of Hospital and Healthcare Management, adopt the Faculty Exchange/Development Programmes, Offer Advisory/ Consulting Services to National & International Organizations and do collaborative research.
