Amity University Online is supporting athletes in pursuing higher education through flexible online programmes and CHAMPS initiative. This helps them to balance academics with their sporting careers.
To support sportspersons in continuing their education alongside their training and competitions, Amity University Online (AUO) offers flexible online degree programmes that allow students to study from anywhere. To help athletes continue their higher education without disrupting their sporting commitments, Amity University Online provides flexible learning options that allow students to study at their own pace while managing training schedules, travel and competitions.
The university also supports sportspersons through its CHAMPS (Celebrating Heroes with Amity Merit Program) initiative, which offers dedicated academic assistance and guidance. Under these programme, eligible athletes can receive up to a 100% tuition fee waiver, helping them pursue higher education while focusing on their sporting careers.
At Commonwealth Games 2026, 14 learners from Amity University Online are representing India across boxing, cycling and weightlifting while simultaneously pursuing online undergraduate, postgraduate and certification programmes.
Among athletes representing India in boxing are Aditya Pratap Yadav (Men's 65 kg), who is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts; Kapil Pokhariya, Jaismine Lamboria (Women's 57 kg) and Sakshi Chaudhary (Women's 51 kg), who are enrolled in the Master of Business Administration (MBA) programme; and Arundhati Choudhary (Women's 70 kg), who is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts.
The university's cycling contingent includes David Beckham Elkatohchoongo, Rojit Singh Yanglem and Sekhon Harshveer Singh, all of whom are pursuing Sports Psychology. In weightlifting, athletes Rishikanta Singh (Men's 60 kg), M. Raja (Men's 65 kg), Lovepreet Singh, Saikhom Mirabai Chanu (Women's 48 kg), Seram Nirupama Devi and Martina Devi are also enrolled in Sports Psychology programme.
