Delhi University has noted that students find themselves stuck in technical aspects and to overcome this confusion a special team has been formed including professors and students who understand online examinations.
Delhi University (DU) is all set to begin the varsity examinations from today; i.e. March 15, 2021. The examination will be held in online mode. Delhi University has asked students who will be appearing for the exams to be cautious of technical aspects including downloading and uploading answer schools, password, network connection, and so on along with answering the questions.
Delhi University has noted that students find themselves stuck in technical aspects and to overcome this confusion a special team has been formed including professors and students who understand online examinations. The online examination that will be conducted for the first-year students from today onwards is estimated to be roughly attended by 1.25 lakh students. The university for the first time has formed a team of professors and students to provide solutions to the problems faced by the students appearing for the DU examinations online.
The team has been formed by the Delhi University Teachers' Association (DUTA) and the student organisation CYSS including teachers and students who have information related to university examinations. The committee includes Hansraj Suman as the convenor and Kamal Tiwari as the Covalent. Assistant Professors Major Kumar, Sunil Kumar, and Narendra Pandey are also a part of the committee.
Professor Hansraj Suman while speaking to a media house said that the students have been instructed to first visit the university website and download the exam admit card to get all the examination information. Students have also been advised to use the registered email id for any work related to the examinations. Students appearing for the exams are required to download the question papers and upload the answer sheets with the same email id using which they have filled the examination form.
He further added that it is mandatory for students to remember the email id and password before the exam. Students have also been asked to make sure that the answer sheet PDF is not password protected. A separate PDF has to be created for every answer which must note be greater than 7 MB in size.
Students will get 3 hours to complete the exam and one hour to upload the answer sheets. Differently-abled students will get a total of 6 hours and students have been advised to use the uploading time only for uploading the answer sheets.
Students have also been asked to take screenshots at every stage of the examinations and take screenshots of every question and answer and keep them for reference. Screenshots are also required to be taken off the acknowledgment tab shown after uploading the exam answer sheets. If students face issues while uploading the PDF they are advised to take screenshots of the same and upload them as proof with the answer PDFs. the university will be providing an extra one hour to such students to upload the answer sheets.
