Indira Gandhi National Open University will be conducting the June term-end exams from September 17. Read further to know more.

Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has announced that it will begin the term-end exams from September 17. The IGNOU term-end examination 2020 will be conducted only for final year students. The details regarding the IGNOU June term-end exams (TEE) can be checked by the student on the official website of IGNOU; i.e ignou.ac.in. Students are advised to keep checking the official website of the varsity for exam schedule and admit cards.

The IGNOU admit cards and date sheet of the university’s June TEE is expected to be released in the first week of September. However, the varsity will conduct the first and second-year term end exams of IGNOU in December. IGNOU term-end exams will be conducted by the varsity for the different postgraduate and undergraduate degrees, postgraduate certificate (PG certificate) and certificate, postgraduate diploma (PGD) and diploma, and appreciation or awareness-level programmes from September 17.

As per the reports, more than three lakh students will be appearing for the final year examination of IGNOU in 900 examination centres across the country.

The IGNOU June TEE was earlier scheduled to be conducted between June 1 and June 27, however, it was postponed due to the outbreak of COVID-19. The last date of IGNOU registration and re-registration for the July 2020 session was August 31.

This year the term-end examination will be conducted as per the UGC guidelines. According to UGC guidelines, universities may adopt alternative and simplified modes of examinations. In other words, universities may choose to use any mode (either one or a combination of) MCQ and OMR based papers, Open book examinations, open choices, assignment/ presentation based assessments, etc.
