Inter-IIT tech meet: The Indian Institute Of Technology, Kanpur won the recent inter-IIT tech meeting organised by IIT Guwahati in a virtual mode. According to the reports, IIT Kanpur bagged 3 gold, 3 silver, and 3 bronze medals out of the 11 events conducted. It has won the fourth inter-IIT tech meeting consecutively. IIT Bombay managed to score the first runner-up and second runner-up positions.

IIT Kanpur-director Abhay Karandikar congratulated all members of the winning contingent. The institute via its official website said, “Members of the IITK contingent performed spectacularly in nearly all of the events, impressing judges with their well-researched, pragmatic solutions. The teams topped the points tally by bagging 3 gold, 3 silver, and 3 bronze medals out of the 11 events conducted.” The institute added, “IIT Kanpur has emerged as the champion in the recently conducted Inter-IIT #TechMeet 9.0 organized virtually by IIT Guwahati, becoming the only IIT to win 4 Tech Meets in total.”

The meeting was organised from March 26 to March 28. The theme of the event was Pandemic, Paranoia and Possibility via which the institute wanted to contribute to the cognizant and escalating India, by bringing about impactful changes. More than 13,000 students participated in the event.
