Kashmir University students must note that the varsity will be releasing the new dates later, the university said, adding that the main campus will remain shut until April 28.

KU UG, PG Semester Exams 2021 Postponed! The University of Kashmir postponed the offline exams of the postgraduate (PG) and undergraduate (UG) final semester in view of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic situation. Kashmir University students must note that the varsity will be releasing the new dates later, the university said, adding that the main campus will remain shut until April 28. An official statement released by the University of Kashmir reads, “It is notified for the information of all concerned that all the University Offline PG and UG Examinations scheduled till May 2nd 2021 are hereby postponed, in view of the prevailing circumstances. The fresh dates of postponed examinations will be notified later on.”

It further adds, “The main campus shall continue to remain closed up to and including Wednesday, April 28, 2021.” Talking about the decision taken regarding the closure of the university and postponement of the exams, a spokesperson of the university said decisions to this effect were taken after detailed deliberations over the prevailing circumstances at a high-level meeting of the varsity's advisory committee chaired in online mode. The meeting, however, decided that online classes, as already notified, will continue to be held by the teaching departments, he added.

Amid the terrifying second wave of the novel coronavirus across the country, several state and central universities have already postponed exams for UG and PG students. Meanwhile, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), Banaras Hindu University (BHU) and Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) are those varsities that also postponed their entrance exams until further notice.
